While staying home will there be an adjustment or waiver for auto insurance payments?

Since millions of us have been directed to stay home and shelter in place and avoid all needless, unnecessary travel, will our insurance payments and or premiums be adjusted down or waived during this crisis?

My driving has been reduced about 95 percent, not to mention not using/riding my motorcycle at all.

I suggest everyone call their insurance carriers and inquire about this. Maybe save some big money.

The insurer Allstate said Monday it will return more than $600 million in auto insurance premiums to customers as many Americans stay home and drive less during shelter-in-place orders to curb the corona virus outbreak.

I rest my case. Watch for more insurance carriers to follow.

Huh? Just because they choose to do this doesn't mean they had any obligations to. And it's only a 15% rebate for most of their customers, so you're still responsible for quite a lot of your premium.

But I guess if a 15% discount for 90% less driving proves your case, well, then there you go.

FYI it doesn't matter to me, USAA returns a portion of premiums anyway depending on claim payouts for the year.

No one here claimed or suggested they had an obligation. You may have never heard of it, but there is this thing called business ethics. If millions of people have reduced their driving nearly 90 percent or more. It's only ethical for these mega companies to adjust down their premiums/payments of the insured. Again, I filled my tank over a month ago, and it's still pretty much full.

I don't know why this is so difficult for you to grasp.
