A regional housing price crash 10 years ago has nothing to do with this virus or your town’s current economy. And a temporary construction slowdown on the other side of town doesn’t affect you, or the construction workers being paid to sit at home (or who are waiting it out in messico). Banks pay construction loans out in steps, so they’re not hurting either. Completed construction affects you by increased competition, lower value on older homes, and higher property taxes. I about had a cow when they changed my zoning to allow higher density. Your strawman has no legs.
