Every day, on every news broadcast we hear that this virus is most dangerous to the very old and those with health conditions that compromise their immune system. Specific lists of the most dangerous co-morbidities have been splashed across news screens and discussed by "expert" guests ad nauseum, often with specific mortality figures associated with each condition. Everyone knows. But you expect people to believe you somehow missed it?
In fact, the media OVERSTATED this information to the point that young and healthy people were almost completely ignoring the virus, giving it names like "boomer flu" and "boomer remover", and the media had to specifically warn that large numbers of people under 60 were getting very sick, and that this virus can be dangerous to anyone.
I think it’s obvious now. They couldn’t require masks here because there weren’t enough.
IF there ever comes a time when all Americans have access to masks, you will see a directive that everyone here MUST wear masks.
Probably not to that extreme in my neighborhood, but it will probably be here shortly. There was one of those COVID nursing home disasters on the other side of town a few days ago.

I’m hoping that the good treatments will be widespread by the end of this month, so that we can reboot. After all, a 3-day hospital stay beats an 18-day one, and a cannula beats a ventilator any day.

NOW if they reopen restaurants ect. and mandate that masks be worn serving the public I would be OK with that if it would get our economy up and running!! BUT if they think I am going to dawn a mask to go to the grocery store they have another thing coming!! I frankly believe this whole damn thing has been so overblown that the public is absolutely HYSTERICAL the media should be ashamed of themselves, however they are elated at how easy it was to bring America to her knees they are all high fiving each other!!! Gleeful, elated!!!
