A deal has been reached to allow two Holland America Line ships to dock in Florida and most of the 2,500 passengers on board to disembark, including foreign nationals, NBC News reported on Thursday, citing unnamed sources. The agreement would allow the cruise lines Rotterdam and Zaandam ships to dock at the Port of Everglades in Fort Lauderdale after 27 days at sea, according to NBC.

Not sure. Ships still ‘pacing’ north and south in ocean.
Stock price dropping as ships idle.
Foreign nationals get chartered plane back home??
Whos paying for that? Better be Carnival..
They have a cruise ship! Cruise their *sses back home!
I can see these folks trying to call relatives and convincing ‘Cousin Chuck’ or ‘Aunt Maggy’ to drive all the way down and pick them up.
Sorry have to handle ALL as ‘infected’ virtually no way to have isolated ANYONE at sea in those close quarters.
If WE are going to play this ‘game’ then the RULES apply to all.
NO special privileges....if you want your personal trainer, house him/her till this is over.
YOU TOO RBG!!!!
Why are these ‘reporters’ allowed to rove about, even talking to ‘infected’ people WHEN THEY CAN ACTUALLY FIND ONE.
As long as MONEY available, go somewhere with a stubbed toe and it will be diagnosed as ‘beerflu - if, for nothing else, for ‘safety sake’’.
Cut the ‘prize’ money off and you will see some honest, positive testing.
FOLLOW THE MONEY
My friend in South Florida who follows daily updates with DeSantis said, his orders are “NO”.....
I wonder if the smart people that canceled this Argentina departure cruise and lost their money ...
Have since gotten their money back from the cruise line?
The cruise line in question is Holland America, not Carnival...
Carnival owns Holland America. For 30 years or so.
Finally, a bit of common sense and compassion regarding these cruise ships.
For another bit of perspective,
“On his Wednesday broadcast, Limbaugh cited a list from worldometers.info that rounded up the worldwide deaths from Jan. 1 through March 25 of 2020:
“Coronavirus: 21,000 deaths.
Seasonal flu: 113,000.
Malaria: 228,000.
Suicide: 249,000.
Traffic fatalities, 313, almost 314,000 deaths.
HIV/AIDS, 391,000 deaths.
Alcohol related deaths, 581,000.
Smoking-related deaths, 1,162,000.
Cancer deaths, 1,909,000 deaths.

Deaths attributed to starvation, 2,382,000 deaths.
And death by abortion, 9,900,000.”
“I’m not trying to make any correlation,” Limbaugh explained.
“I’m not trying to say, ‘Hey, we’re overreacting to coronavirus death.’ I’m just giving you the stats here. You can react to these stats however you wish.”
If they refund any money, it will not be released for months. A friend of mine was to go on a cruise in mid March, port of Baltimore was closed. The company made the option to get your money back the least attractive & most remote, option.
Yesterday presser Trump said Canada and UK would be picking up their citizens. He was committed to getting the people off the ships for humanitarian reasons.
Of 2400 people on 2 ships, only 300 are Americans
I believe this was a strictly South American cruise.
If so interesting they made a beeline for the US when they knew they were in trouble

Also read South America wouldnt let them dock.
Nobody in the western hemisphere would let them dock
Except Trump
More details on the deal
Does Trump think the Leftists will like him now because of this?
All he did is piss off his base.
I did not know that - haven’t gone on many cruises. I knew they owned Princess.
“The company made the option to get your money back the least attractive & most remote, option.”
Probably depends on the Cruise line. Royal C is giving vouchers for any future destination anytime. This will end and my advice with cruise lines is don’t go cheap. With Cruise lines as it is with Las Vegas food you get what you pay for.
