"If a quarantine saves just one child's or one old fart’s life, it's worth it."

No, it might not be. Paying for just one life with the entire economy of 340 million people would be a very poor choice. It is known as the concept of sacrificing few to save many.

It takes knowledge, wisdom and courage to be a good leader. Sometimes hard choices must be made. Pity us if our leaders don't have that courage.

If you show me that I was strictly referring to doctors, I will stop mocking you as much as I am about to.

But you have fully earned this.

We have a published study. We have the press and some doctors ignoring because it’s a small foreign study.

When doctors play the whole “not invented here” game they lose respect hard won by previous generations of their profession and they earn disdain.

There is a time you can be pedantic and a time to roll up your sleeves and get to work. This is the latter. There isn’t time for any of that crap about the size of the study being small or the doctors not being American.

You know what else there isn’t time for?

Pretending that crap isn’t happening.

You want Doctors respected?
Persuade them to act respectable. That’s called a prerequisite by the way. Previous generations of doctors understood how that works. Today’s generation of doctors? Not so much.

OK MrEdd!

I did not catch where you were mocking me, yours seemed a perfectly reasonable comment to me. I understand your original comment a little better. Thanks for the clarification.

I am curious to know more. I do know about the idiot politicians trying to forbid it. Please link me.

My personal perspective FWIW is even the most vocally skeptical Doctors are using HCQ/Zpac on COVID-19 patients. However, Dr. Zelenko’s regimen included zinc which many doctors are not using, a sad mistake. Zelenko prescribed it to outpatients, very important, and even as prophylaxis, while many Doctors are using it on the most extreme cases and complaining when no dramatic recovery occurs.

FReegards!

MUST INCLUDE ZINC!

ZINC is the cure, Hydroxychloroquine is just the vehicle to get more ZINC into the cells. Zinc disrupts the coronavirus’ ability to infect cells. Helping your own immune system to be able to defend against the coronavirus.

https://techstartups.com/2020/03/28/dr-vladimir-zelenko-now-treated-699-coronavirus-patients-100-success-using-hydroxychloroquine-sulfate-zinc-z-pak-update/

He was ridiculed by the left, removed from Twitter, cancelled by Snopes, etc. so he MUST be onto something!

The left: LET PEOPLE DIE, as long as it will make Trump look bad.

We can’t let Trump have a victory OF ANY KIND, no matter how many have to DIE. (Demonrats)

I have yet to find any source that claims HCQ actually kills the virus. There is good science that zinc ferried into the cell stops replication of the virus, and physicians already know the immune system does the killing and disposal of the virons. HCQ can work to reduce inflammation in addition to ferrying zinc into the cells. So it is difficult for me to agree that physicians don't know zinc is essential and they know Azithromycin is not zinc. I am left to conclude attending physicians are counting on circulating zinc in the body to be ferried into cells.

Zelinsky showed a zinc supplement is the better way to dose ...

Here is a link for symptoms of zinc deficiency. One should understand that many of us are NOT CLINICALLY deficient, but are less then fully healthy or resistant to disease. One of the first signs, recently reported, that you have Covid-19 is loss of taste and sense of smell. This is also a symptom of zinc deficiency. I guess the first thing that the bug does is deplete your zinc. This is why I also recommend taking 1 or 2 grams of Vitamin C a day, 2000 to 4000 IU Vitamin D, and 1 or 2 good multivitamin/multimineral tablets.

The local Sprouts is out of zinc, and has been for a week or so.

I suggest taking several calcium/magnesium/zinc tablets a day. I have not found any good source of just zinc, but one also needs cal/mag, especially if elderly or depressed. My other health maintenance recommendations continue to be:
1 gram Vitamin C morning and evening. More if ill
Vitamin D 2000 to 4000 IU, depending on sun exposure and winter depression (SAD).
a good multivitamin/multimineral table 1 or 2 a day depending on stress level.
And, of course, the cal/mag/zinc, several a day
Another good one is Pantothenic Acid, strengthens the adrenals

Regarding zinc, the fact that it appears one of the symptoms of Covid is loss of taste and smell, and one of the symptoms of zinc deficiency is loss of taste and smell, I now wonder if countries or regions with high zinc levels in soil/groundwater might have lower Covid death rates. Next piece of research!
