The internet is the only thing binding Americans right now and I am really concerned what would happen if it drops.
If there were ever a perfect storm and and easy opportunity for a take over of America it is now. This is how it will be donelock us in, remove communications and it's over. Simple.
I also have to give a nod to Life of Fred math. Its an approach to math built into a continuing novel. Very clever.
Im listening and reading viewpoints from parents and teachers who are now virtual schooling. Ive seen it all. Some kids seem to have very little work to do, but most are being given overwhelming amounts of worksheets and dull material.
Im wondering if there is an effort to overwhelm and frustrate parents in hopes they wont want to continue with their kids at home come next school year.
Brick and mortar education in the public sector has been broken and corrupt for a very long time.
So, you expect the chinese will do what? Invade LA or SF?
How about they stop shipping required drugs to the USA?
Do you think they want all out war with the USA when Donald Trump is the President?
What would you call 1.45 Billion Nuke Fried bat eaters?
I'm not in favor of a nuke war that no one can win, but don't think for a minute that Trump will allow china pulling bull shit during a crisis and not respond.
If Trump believes that nukes are the only answer, he would not hesitate to use whatever he needs to.
The Internet was originally designed to survive a nuclear war. This is nothing by comparison.
Way back in the day I prepared for the GROL and got my license. I learned that telephony was a lifeline service. Now that a lot of us have cable modems with telephony (if we still have home phone service), I wonder what ever came of all the cable companies trying to get that part of their service exempted from that requirement. I know they were trying, but I don’t recall any of them succeeding in that endeavor.
Do you have any insight into that?
I’m asking because I’m a bit lazy and I’m not sure who to trust for the info.
GEt your ham radio.
+++++
LOL. You beat me too it. The hams and word of mouth would get the news to us. It wouldnt come at us at 100 megabits per second but we would get it.
Hadn’t heard of those other ones. Kids are late teens now. My wife was into that worksheet thing. Sure makes ‘em look busy.
I will say, one thing I’m not into is teaching Christianity in every subject, especially math. I found Abeka stuff to be downright simplistic, boring and behind the times for non-Stepford Wive type people. Christianity in literature, I’m fine with.
Math does not come naturally to my daughter so I’ll look into Life of Fred. Sounds like it would be right up her alley.
I had them read a bunch of the classics until my daughter started talking like that. “I shant do that”. LOL They read pretty much whatever they want now and have good reading comprehension.
I am. I got my internet girlfriends....er.. did I type that? : )
If comms went down, then their hand would be revealed, and I (among millions, or even dozens of millions) would emerge with no more fear of Covid, but a desire to become the group that 'takes over America'.
