Most kids dress up in their parents’ suits, shoes or makeup to feel more mature, but 5-year-old George Moore isn’t most kids.
George and his similarly-mischievous older brother Harry, 7, from Slade Green in London, were watching British series “You’ve Been Framed!” — which airs funny home videos sent by viewers — when George decided he wanted to look more distinguished.
So he grabbed a pair of electric clippers belonging to his dad, Kevin Moore, and brought them to Harry, asking if he would help cut his hair in the style of an “old man,” he said.

I did that to my son once many moons ago. He looked in the mirror and threw a fit. I made him show his mom before I buzzed the rest. We laugh about it now.

As boys one dull summer day, my friend across the street and I did something like that to our younger brothers. Our parents were furious and laughing at the same time. After parental consultations, we both received the condign punishment of losing our deserts for the next few days.
This is what my wife has in store for me. In fact, I don’t think she has any choice in not making me look like an old man. Just clean up the neck hairs. Leave the ears alone.

One of my growing up friends put his mother’s Nair on his eyebrows. It worked.
There are times when I marvel that I and my brothers survived childhood.
Now he’s a trans-codger.
