"There were no “dress down” days."

Most of my adult life I spent in uniform, and you had to be in compliance with the uniform rules while on duty.

I was in high school in the early 60's. We had a strict dress code...dresses, skirts and blouses/sweaters for girls, no culottes...slacks, shirts for the boys...no jeans or tee shirts. Every so often they'd have "dress-up" day, when the girls could wear their better dresses, and high heels, and the boys could wear their suits/dress jackets and ties. Now they get away going to school naked.

lol

Well I went to high school 20 years later than your but 40 years earlier than now so I am more in line with your way of thinking.

There’s little discipline and what little there is isn’t enforced.

We’ve a lost generation on our hands and I hope they find their way back.
