Hi Dp...

My experience with Staten Island is very limited.

Apparently one of my grandparents is buried there. So, when we were little kids, the family (mostly from Brookly, although we lived in Newark, NJ) would go to Staten Island once a year to pay respects.

The kids, myself included, didn’t get it, acted like brats, and ran around the cars.

You can probably guess which cemetery, knowing the Island.

It was the 50’s, but the grandparent in question probably died ca. 1930, and I’d guess even then that burial plot land was cheaper in Staten Island.

Wow there was barely Anything out here back then.

I don’t know much about the history of the island before I was born but I am curious now to know which cemeteries were already existing.

I have an idea of which ones were.

My pop is buried at one here and he died in ‘82.

I shall go find out as it has me curious.
