Mardi Gras in New Orleans has an average attendance of around 1.4 million people each year. Church attendance is a drop in the bucket, and a lot cleaner (at least in the churches I know)

I know we are to not forsake the fellowship of believers, but I don’t think staying home at the request of government, just during a health crisis, counts. Of course, each believer must decide for himself, but we are to use wisdom, and it’s not as if we cannot worship the LORD at home. Or even meet in (very) small groups, in church members’ homes. We are in the midst of starting up a new congregation, so we meet in our pastor’s home. But there are less than 10 of us, and none of us would think of attending if we had symptoms.
