Those millions are not going to work when the government is paying them their unemployment plus another $600 a week for 4 months.
No one will want to work when they can get unemployment plus another $600 a week for 4 month.
In Tennessee, now, unemployment pay is $275 a week plus another $600 for 4 months due to the stimulus bill.
Why would you go to work? That’s more than I make working for a living. I am glad to have a job, but getting those already on the dole now back to work will be next to impossible.
At my job, most everyone is whining about having to work for the past week, when they heard they others are getting paid more NOT to work. I work for a large national company’s warehouse.
Thats pathetic that its come to that. I found a bootleg barber on Saturday. As I waited with one other guy, watching basketball replays on the big screen, it harkened my memory back to age 20 when I was served in my first tavern experience. Barber told me he cuts all the cops hair. Only house rule...use common sense; hand sanitizer (provided). Such a feeling of freedom.

yep that is what I am seeing...I think you will see people force themselves to get fired because they will be better off. 4 months guaranteed and ability to extend that many more months.
Maybe so, but getting young people & deadbeats to work for LESS than they can get for NOT working is going to be really hard!
Already seeing people at my job angling to do this. Expect the economy to really start to crumble as more and more ESSENTIAL people stop working for FREE cash.
Some Republicans tried to warn them but it fell on deaf ears!

As always, there are a few a-holes (out-of-towners, from what I’ve heard) who think the world owes them obeisance, and couldn’t care less about the people around them. Especially about the welfare of employees.
Anyone here who thinks they can be easily replaced, better think again. My advice: why don’t YOU try it?
Sorry, you had a bad experience.
A neighbor lady had positive experience and got us some tp.
My wife’s friend and her husband had a positive experience as reported.
I had a bad experience at Raley’s picking up our order including being short 7 items out of 12. We will try their upscale Nob Hill this Friday.
We have usually good luck with Walmart’s pickup. Their computer was jumping around and wouldn’t schedule a simple pickup order this week.
“workers are not replaced, and Whole Foods loses permanent market share as shoppers permanently shift to more affordable options ...
Then, in most areas, Amazon creates a new combo warehouse,order/distribution center and a fast/nimble crew working out of the new smaller grocery center/warehouse or whatever Amazon wants to do with their new property..
The Whole foods union thugs and their elite snobby managers are now just a loser history of lost union dreams.

the thing is, no union in any other grocery chain, including all of the various Kroger holding and Safeway, is threatening to strike about this issue ...

Which is why, if and when they go on strike, Amazon will fire all of them and move on to Amazon’s ultimate plan for all former Whole Paycheck employees.
My Wife and I are people who make sure a Federal Employee is deemed essential the fourth Wednesday of every Month.
That’s when our SS Money is deposited into our Checking Account.
Held hostage by the teachers’ unions.
