Illinois inmate dies from COVID-19; dozens more sickened

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (AP) - Illinois officials have reported the death of a state prison inmate from COVID-19 and acknowledged the difficulty they face in stopping the spread of the virus in a crowded correctional system.
Dr. Ngoze Ezike, the state’s public health director, said a man at Stateville Correctional Center in Joliet had died from the respiratory illness.

Last I heard Putin shut down Moscow...”Moscow is now under a citywide quarantine”.shut all cafes, restaurants and shops, apart from those selling food and medicine......it’s also closed all border crossings as of March 30th...according to the Moscow Times.

And any USN Admiral that suggests ignoring the CDC and going with masks would be fired for not following the politically correct line that 1. Masks are only for health care professionals and 2. Sailors are too stupid to learn how to use them properly.
The electric clippers don’t work on our big monster. It takes 3 days and over heats them. He’s good about it but it’s too much for us. I’d rather just use scissors which don’t take as long and no chance of burns.
Hubby and I do each others’ hair so haven’t been to a salon in who knows when.
Good news. They finally made the nail salon close. They and their customers thought it was essential to have fashionable nails during the pandemic.
It is amazing how everyone in South Korea and the Czech Republic can use them, but Americans will never figure it out... ;-)

The flubros, should ask why it is people are leaving Hot Spots in mass, why portable hospitals are being set up in city parks, why top physicians and scientists are repeatedly saying they’ve never seen anything like this, and why the entire world countries are viewing the coronavirus in this way......
I believe a lot of the people who are saying this is just the flu are living good on their seculuded ranches or well suited vast properties where they have no real danger. ..and all this is just getting in the way of their otherwise free lifestyle.
Ranches? They are living in trailers.
Our local nail salons closed when the restaurants closed (for inside).
My last nail appt was last year.
Early this year, I knew that the Vietnamese nail techs would be flying back here on same plane with potential Wuhan carriers.

I will say that many of the original deniers have now come around.
The late 1910’s were a time when communism was perhaps even more on the ascendancy than it is now.
We likely had fewer narcissists though.
The difference is this is an Invisible Disaster which leaves a trail of sick and or dying people as it unknowingly crosses cities, towns and across the country.....and everybody can be it's victim......we don't now where it's at until people get sick or dying.
