You have a strange sense of humor. But okay, whatever floats your boat.

So I can quote you then?

Well this virus really doesn’t kill you either he said. It’s your immune system trying in vain to rid your body of the invader and in essence, it ends up killing you.

That is not what Dr. Vuong meant when he said "the flu doesn't kill you" and you know it. You're being disingenuous.

That is true, but it is a real balancing act, get it wrong and bad outcomes will likely be the result. But first, we must get everyone to recognize the reality and get all working together instead of arguing what is right and what is wrong. Defeating the virus and having no economy from which to emerge to once that is accomplished is detrimental, and most likely even more so. But rushing in too soon, to open for business status, may be just as detrimental. That is why it is such a tenuous balancing act. I trust that President Trump is the one that is best suited for this event. I can only imagine what would have taken place if Hillary were president.

It's not the first time they approved it either.

I am very grateful Trump is in charge. I generally trust his judgement and he has access to a lot more information than I do.

I still think he is allowing governors to go too far. Perhaps he does not have the power to stop them.

I do not think the Bill Of Rights should be suspended over this.

So you agree then that the people he wishes to reach will never watch this. Flapping his gums and spinning his wheels.

Why did you think any of us needed to watch it?

"The press is still fearmongering, that has not changed, but they themselves have no clue about what this nation is facing either. If they did they would not be making a political issue out of this and would start to really inform the public."

No chance of that happening unfortunately.

Okay I just watched the video again, and he never makes any mention about the flu, other than to say this is not the flu.

What he does say is that when the cell dies, because of the SARS Covid2 virus, it triggers a inflammatory response which in turn triggers immune system responses. Because the cell is dead it starts bringing in lots of fluid, which eventually leads to pneumonia. That pneumonia is what eventually kills you.

Thus the virus doesn't kill you. It destroys cells which may lead to pneumonia which is the bridge to death.

I perhaps am not understanding your point, or you just don't really understand what transpires. But do whatever makes you feel good, smarter or whatever it is you are after. What you do is really quite unimportant to me.

Nope he said, and I quote, “the flu doesn’t kill.” The context was that Covid-19 does kill.

You’ve gone from disingenuous to lying.

That has nothing to do with his statement that I was quoting but, FWIW, that is how the flu kills too.

How Does the Flu Actually Kill People?

They didn’t test me the first time (no flu, no pneumonia, chest x-rays, the works) but gave me a bunch of antibiotics. February, I was sick as a dog for 6 days straight. My blood oxygen level was 80% and by body temp was only 96.6. I had a very high fever for several days but it broke. I went to the hospital because I literally could not catch my breath.

I missed a few more days on and off over the next 2 weeks, then was back at the hospital in March. This time, there was damage to my lungs and I was diagnosed with pneumonia. The doctor told me they were reserving the tests for the worst cases because they didnt have enough.

I talked to a doctor in Dallas and explained my history. He was furious. He said he would be shocked if my blood didnt show the COVID 19 in my system and that they should have tested me and kept me because I may have irreparable damage to my lungs.

My lungs were clear in February. In March, they said I was showing signs of COPD. All that damage in a month!

Yeah, this shit is serious.

“Is it just the flu? No.”

“Are our enemies trying to take advantage of it? Hell, yes.”

And our domestic enemies are leading the charge.

Yes I am in agreement, and I said that the virus does not kill you it causes other reactions to take place resulting in death when the damage reaches a certain level.

But the chain reactions that lead to death, would not have occurred, had the virus not been present.

That is why I had been arguing that the flu was deadlier. It just doesn't cause panic because we have the security blanket of vaccines. The numbers had not, and still have not, reached the levels of the flu with this SARS Covid2 virus. We don't have hard numbers for the flu, only estimates. Either in cases or morbidity rate. Because we don't know what percentage goes unreported. So at this point we really do not know which is worse. But what we do know is that both of these working in tandem have the potential of really overwhelming healthcare infrastructures.

For that reason more seriousness needs to be paid attention to this virus, and not downplay the seriousness of it.

Which is why I changed my opinion. I am still cautioning people to not panic though as panic has never solved any problem that can occur.

Now you’re making sense.

As for your first two paragraphs; I wasn’t arguing about that. It was not the point Dr. Vuong was making when he said “the flu doesn’t kill you.” He said that as a comparison to Covid-19 not as a semantic about actual underlying causes. IOWs he was saying that Covid-19 kills and flu does not.

It was near the end of the video.

Also, the CDC has a very good idea, within a range, of how many people die in each season of the flu. It will be a year before they can put a solid number to deaths for this winter but they have reasonably accurate totals for previous years.
2018-2019 was about 61k for instance. No small number and influenza doesn’t just pick on the old or the weak.
