Lived in Lake County and got a whiff of the Minute Maid plant in Leesburg. Now I drink “Sunny D”.

Up it to 2,000 fall and winter. Great results.
Of course staying away from certain situations has helped.
I believe in Vit C. Too many oranges to get that much C.

I noticed frozen OJ was sold out a week ago. Found some recently.

It’s a backup for the Simply Orange...which works great in mimosas!

Hell it’s hard to find phoney Orange Juice. My nearly 92 year old father loves his SunnyD. Nowhere to be found unless you are into 3x online markup. I finally found Amazon 3rd party SunnyD powder mix for a decent price but it is still a week plus out for delivery.

Every store I go to jumps from Biotin to Calcium with a half dozen versions of Vitamin C missing.

But Sam's club had a pile of Charmin megapacks. I had to scoot past a chatty family taking up way more than their share of an aisle when one saw it in my cart and said "Is that toilet paper?". When I said there was a lot in the last aisle they all literally sprinted off like it was going to run out in the thirty seconds it took to get back there.

Here we go. From Orthomolecular:

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Orthomolecular Medicine News Service, Feb 28, 2020
Vitamin C and COVID-19 Coronavirus
by Damien Downing, MBBS, MRSB and Gert Schuitemaker, PhD

(OMNS February 28, 2020) There is only one existing treatment for the new coronavirus: vitamin C.

Vitamin C supports your immune system.
Vitamin C helps to kill the virus and reduces the symptoms of infection.
It’s not a COVID “cure,” but nothing is.
It might just save your life, though, and will definitely reduce the severity of the infection.

If someone tells you it’s not proven, consider two things:

Nothing is proven to work against COVID-19, because it is a new virus.
Vitamin C has worked against every single virus including influenzas, pneumonia, and even poliomyelitis.

What to do

If you do nothing else, start taking vitamin C right away; at least 3 grams a day, spread right across the day. That’s a 1,000 milligram capsule every 8 hours, or a level teaspoon of powder dissolved in a pint or so of water, drank all through the day.

If you’re smart and motivated, do all the other things recommended in our previous release Vitamin C Protects Against Coronavirus (http://orthomolecular.org/resources/omns/v16n04.shtml)

When and if you catch a bug that might be COVID-19, simply increase your vitamin C intake: a rounded teaspoon (that’s 4 to 5 grams) in water (which helps to keep you hydrated) every 3 or 4 hours. And keep on taking it.

Do you consult a doctor? Do you self-isolate? Yes and yes. Of course you do; that’s your duty to others.

Vitamin C and the other measures are what you do for yourself.

"Get 1000 mg tablets they work great."

That's sort of like saying sleep is the best cure for insomnia.

"People understand that orange juice is a great source of vitamin C and clearly vitamin C boosts your immune system," said Andrew Meadows,

An extraordinary triumph of marketing.

Something super high in Vitamin C and fiber, with zero sugar, is growing in my garden: parsley!

Growing like mad, actually: it loves a day of rain followed by two or three days of heat and sunshine.

I love champagne and drink it all the time. Love me some mimosas too. But I’m hooked on pineapple mimosas. Had never even thought about it before but a friend who owns a restaurant started serving them years ago. Haven’t had an oj mimosa since. lol

I always drink orange juice everyday to ward off scurvy. It’s worked like a charm. I used to drink gin and tonic to ward off malaria. That seemed to work also but I ended up an alcoholic. /s

Parsley is one of the best sources of apigenin and that is a very interesting nutrient, possibly much more significant than the wonderful vitamin C.

Oh, I’ll have to look that up. We planted the parsley when we moved here, almost 17 years ago. Black Swallowtale caterpillars love it. Some years they eat it down to bare sticks and nubs, but it always comes back once they pupate.

Not at all. Vitamin C boosts your immune system by stimulating the production of antibodies which kill pathogens. A increased concentration in your system sustains the antibody production process.
