The stratification by age makes some sense. The young are getting a glimpse of what their mortality risk profile from regular flu will be when they are 30 years older. Roughly it is .01% for someone under 40, .1% for 40-60 and 1% for someone over 60. The fatality rate varies by a factor of 100. I can understand why someone under 40 wants to get to work. And why someone over 60 should be quarantined, maybe lose their job to the younger competitor.. but live longer.

The fatality rate is so low as to be insignificant. They keys to opening a business would having an intact supply chain and the employee staff to do the work.
For a lot of manufacturing you might not have the first, and depending on your office layout, the second will diminish after the first two weeks.

They estimated today that if we did nothing, which is coincidentally inherent in your numbers, that deaths could at the low end reach 1.6 million. (Bear in mind those two experts have reputations to protect.)
Your fix is far less than that amount. Again, can you provide authority for your calculation?
Interestingly, the 1.6m figure exceeds the 1.1m of Americans that have been killed in all of the wars fought by our nation, from the Revolutionary War through the ongoing War on Terror.

You are the idiot, people in their 20's, 30's and 40's have died of the flu too and a bunch of other diseases. THERE IS NO LOGICAL REASON TO DESTROY THE ECONOMY OVER IT.
