My dad and uncle went through enough red paint restoring and selling MF tractors.

They also have quite a collection. Large, medium and small.

Another color was not quite CAT yellow. Close enough for the average buyer of the equipment they bought/fixed/sold.

Interesting about the family MF collection. Hopefully one of my retirement years projects will be acquiring and restoring a MF 35 Diesel Deluxe. Tough little buggers, and the Perkins diesel merely sips fuel.

When I became a teenager I spent two summers helping a neighbor farmer, and my assigned beast of burden was their MF 35 Diesel...raking hay, fetching haywagons and even a few loaded silage boxes. The tractor had an upright exhaust stack with some sort of tiny car muffler. The assembly made the Perkins sound like a Twitter bird when throttling down.

Good times.
