Because I have a big screen surround sound TV/Theater, and my computer service sucks and the screen is tiny and the sound is scratchy. And I can watch TV in my comfy recliner with the heating pad on areas that hurt. And I cant do that on the computerwhich can get down right painful at times and hard to walk when I get up.
And it was NOT on Fox when I was trying to find itjust Bret B. doing his typical thing. And as I may have said before, I turned off the TV when I could not find it.
And POTUS daily updates is the first time I watched TV for a year except for POTUS Rallies that they have covered.
AND because I WANT to bitch about the JERKS that call themselves NEWS reporters. Spit.
I have a DSL and can only get 8mb speed on my wifi because I live out in the country. Since I bought a Roku TV I can get everything on YouTube streamed or uploaded. The reason I bought a Roku 32” Roku TV ($132 from Walmart) was I had already bought a Roku attachment for my moms much larger TV screen and it was amazing I could get everything on YouTube uploaded and streamed no problem. So I took a chance and hooked up the Roku TV and it worked beautifully. I can also use my phone, TV streamed and computer wifi at the same time. YouTube doesn’t seem to censor any of the Q stuff either on my Roku TV. I have watched all of POTUS briefings streamed live(usually the briefings are coming from a Fox Station in Arizona) and it works great for me.
Not sure if this would help you because you might already have a smart TV and can access youtube on it but your wifi doesn’t have enough to power your situation. Within a few months I cut the Dish Cord and saved about $150 a month.
I have blue ray. I think the TV is smart—but I’m pretty dumb when it comes to tech. Grand Son in law set up the blue ray so that I could watch Netflix on the big screen.
The remote that came with the TV has a Netflix button on it. We have lousy internet service—and it’s the best that our telephone company offers.
I think we are going to get another company some day—heard a rumit. Hubby doesn’t want to ditch the dish. I could do without it except for local news now and then.
Yes, a Roku, Chromecast or Fire can get you streaming. YouTube on your tv, etc with good quality. Or if your tv has internet connectivity you can do the same thing without it.
