And it’s just getting started. Unfortunately we are about to learn what crony capitalism plus crony socialism produces in the long run. But then again, we could have just watched what happened to China lol.

The couple in Rome, GA in their 30s (that caught it at choir practice, and she ended up on a vent at Emory) both tested positive to the flu and a few days later tested positive for cv.

That to me, and I am no expert by any means, is a red flag.

In these younger people, is the virus there waiting for weakness to strike?

Went to church today- just me and the pastor. We solved all the world’s problems.

The total counts are equally important. The counts are not panicking anyone, any more than any other fact would be.

Facts are facts.

Yes, we've been discussing the two different (L and S) strains, on these CV threads, for weeks.

It's looking like maybe NOLA and Detroit may have the bad strain.

Btw...I heard on Bannon's latest podcast, that a Cornell doc (not the wash your hands/don't touch your face guy...this is a different doc, who's studied pandemics) tweeted this...

NEW: CDC guidance on masks expected to change in next 10 days. Americans will be advised to wear masks in everyday life. Current recommendation is for high-risk groups only.— Matt McCarthy (@DrMattMcCarthy) March 28, 2020

We'll see if this (CDC mask recommendation) comes to pass.

Waiting to see the numbers flatten. Hope that starts happening. Sick of being locked down.

Yesterday was the 3rd straight day with only a small increase in daily new cases for the US. If we are "only" around 20,500 today, we might be seeing a slow down and flattening of the curve. Obviously, we are going to see hundreds of smaller outbreaks, each with their own curve, but hopefully none of them will be anywhere near as bad as NY. I assumed the USA had watched how other countries reacted to the virus, and would be more prepared. I think NY might have finally made it "real" for a lot of Americans.

<“Money changers.” ?? Is that a code or ‘dog whistle’?

That disruptor/troll spends half his time bragging about his wealth and financial clients while badmouthing blue collar workers, "white trash", and others he feels beneath him. He spends the other half praising God and quoting bible scripture.

That is the key case count.
75 % are not in hospital .

Trump needs to buy these anti body kits from Singapore and mandate people get tested before working in public spots like cafes or stores or bars .
What are we waiting for ?

the 200,000 figure is way lower than previous projections .
Other states need to close off NYC .

The only thing I have seen in some of these young cases in GA is obesity. But there are many that have no underlying conditions. I have wondered if we have an unusual strain, especially in south GA, and maybe other hot spots like New Orleans too

One area that worries me the most right now is Florida.

It is a heavily populated state, and the spring breakers left only a few days ago after mixing with the local service workers.

Florida was slow to close down beaches, with one beach only closed yesterday.

I am also concerned about the upper midwest. The phone cell tracking video we saw here yesterday showed large numbers of spring breakers returning home to metro areas like Chicago, Detroit, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, and Ohio cities.

Those are the places that still could show major new outbreaks imho.

We already have these antibody testing kits in the US, they haven’t been rolled out in large numbers yet.

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology are working on an alternative treatment that can be used when a hospital runs out of ventilators.

ADVERTISING

The researchers are testing whether a drug called TPA that is now used to treat blood clots in heart attack and stroke victims could also clear blood clots that form in the lungs of some people in respiratory failure.

Doctors are planning to test this approach at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and at a hospital in Colorado.

I agree with that.

But, why the co-infections, right?

In theory, I would think, one virus was there first. In my mind, that would be the CV.

Then the flu infection came, completely weakening immunity and the dormant CV said, "Time to get to work".

Complete laymans guess but common sense would tell you, something's up.

Of course if people are dumb there can be outbreaks in places like this:

A Mississippi nursing home employee tested positive for #COVID19 & is quarantining. There are no plans to test other employees/residents, only checking for fevers or symptoms.
