I asked my Doc about changing during this commotion. The response was that there wasn’t really a problem with them. The only problem was if you had the side effect cough it would make it hard to distinguish from Wuhan

I just nodded and didnt bother to say there is alot more out there on this

Since this virus is so wacky nothing is definitive..but I have seen a lot of things about Ace inhibitors perhaps causing a problem ...and of course, the reason was not something I have quite understood yet.

I’ll try. I’ve been goofing off all day so I have to finish my work (chores) and I’ll get on it.

I’m not too hot on doctors overall, as they tend to THINK they know a lot more than they do - with diabetes/obesity/nutrition being the prime example. In this case, they simply don’t have the time needed to understand this - so they’re left having to trust the political entities (WHO, CDC, and FDA).

Here's some stuff about coughing:

"The mechanism of cough is likely multifactorial. ACE inhibitors prevent the breakdown of bradykinin and substance P, resulting in an accumulation of these protussive mediators ...." https://www.medscape.com/viewarticle/739521

"...although no study has explained the exact mechanism of the ACE-inhibitor cough, many experts think it is related to a natural compound called nitric oxide. ACE inhibitors cause the body to increase nitric oxide production, and nitric oxide is known to irritate the lungs and possibly cause coughing. Iron interferes with production of nitric oxide.” https://www.webmd.com/heart-disease/news/20010816/on-ace-inhibitor-you-dont-have-to-cough-up-lung#1
