Dasani is just filtered tapwater, bottled from the same stuff that the nearest bottling facility users for the cans or 2 L bottles of Coke, Sprite, etc. Nothing wrong with it you’re just paying for filtered city water.

Bottled water has to be produced from an approved public water source. “Public” meaning a source that serves more than just your own family.

So yeah, bottled water is basically tap water.

It is filtered tap water yes. So is most of the rest of it. Unless it says "spring water" it is just purified tap water.

Oddly enough a company I used to work would do a small monthly run of unfiltered tap water for use in our local government buildings.

Guess they need to show that everyone from the mayor on down had confidence in our water system.

Yes, it’s tap water run through a reverse osmosis system and then blended with city water or has minerals added.
Bottled water regulated by the FDA=food
Tap water regulated by the FDA
Few standards are higher.
