If they had a conductor, he didn’t show in the video, and it was just instruments, no singing. Which reminds me, Listening to it as the European Union anthem, they seem to skip Schiller’s happy cannibals. Is the whole poem included in the original 9th?

That is one big giveaway the music was pre-recorded with the musicians simply syncing their movements to the music. People playing in a group have to constantly adjust their own playing (volume, etc) according to the sound produced, and they can’t do that if they can’t hear what the others are doing.
