Nope. Not weird. My grandfather was a bee keeper in Utah. We always had the best honey. Peanut butter and honey sandwiches were always a treat when we visited. Maybe that’s why I don’t have allergies. We don’t get local honey too much anymore but there is a food truck out in my neck of the woods called “The Ripe Juicery” and they put local honey in the items we purchase there. If you are near Kennesaw you should try it. We make the drive there, although not too far, because it’s all fresh produce and fruits that they try to source locally.
Of course, I am on the other side in a town called - wait for it...Dacula.
I convinced my wife that we would need to teach our boys the facts of life - Hence the birds and the bees.
They keep me out of trouble and give me some focus and we get to enjoy the bounty given to us by God and Mother Nature.
My allergist said that honey actually does help with some seasonal allergies.
He said it’s not as good as allergy shots, but it can be very effective for people for whom the shots don’t work, or like mr. mm, was so allergic, that he was never able to get to a high enough dose to be effective.
But when he started eating local wildflower honey, we saw a huge turnaround.
