At a certain level it's just a game. Multi-trillions were won & lost in the markets over the last few weeks. If you can stampede the herd in a particular direction, the profit potential is immense.

On a more personal level, look how FR continues to allow posts of unsourced, erroneous 3rd party social media "information". It really is a game of shadows & mirrors, with media players across the political spectrum all eager for page views and comment volume.

How many repeat violators - here on this very thread - are running parallel accounts on twitter, FB and the rest? You can always tell because the posters are never personally offended when challenged. If an actual person is questioned about an obvious logic error, at least they respond in a hostile fashion that reflects perceived personal injury.

It's the bots that keep on going, seemingly without concern as to accuracy and/or reputation. This whole business over reported "cases" is primary evidence #1. Try and post something like that at T-D.win, and you will have a swarm of angry autists all over your ass in a flash. They of course will immediately - and correctly - point out that cases are simply measuring increased test results, not statistical projections of actual disease incidence.

But here, this intentionally misleading MSM narrative is given credence, discussed and then used as supporting evidence for additional claims. At a core level, I really don't have a problem with gamesters; for example, I'm a great admirer of Joseph Smith. But it's the retards & clueless that really muck up the works, fervently believing whatever BS is thrown out there without pause for consideration.

And all the while, Trump weathers this sabotage, when disinformation should be called out, and violators banished.

“If an actual person is questioned about an obvious logic error, at least they respond in a hostile fashion that reflects perceived personal injury.”

Or maybe...some of us here are just so sick of the nastiness displayed that we dont care enough to respond

I frequently dont even read the posts of people who keep harassing me. Dont care what logic they have. Just don’t care.

I am completely fed up with the horrible nasty attitude of many on this site. Some of my stalkers are horrendous. Then to top it off, they actually lie about stuff I have said...like claiming I am wearing tyvek suits to buy chlorinated chicken BS posts.

So travelers enter railway carriages, and are dragged up grades and through, tunnels with utter loss of volition, the motive power, generated by fierce heat, being far in advance and beyond their control. - Gen. They of course will immediately - and correctly - point out that cases are simply measuring increased test results,

Virtually all testing is still exclusively people who are symptomatic and meet specific requirements (save for the rich and connected). Large scale testing of the population at large would produce only a small number of additional positives, mostly those who are pre-symptomatic. Ignoring the problem by not testing does not result in fewer infections, will not clear out hospital rooms and ICU wards, and will not reduce fatalities.

Is the MSM hyping this event? Yes, that's what they do. Do bigger numbers make bigger headlines? Yes, but it is Public Health Departments and hospitals driving testing, not the MSM. Are the left blaming Trump? Obviously. But painting posters here as "bots" who are part of some organized plot to get Trump is bizarre and paranoid. And calling for them to be banished worse.

I think most people, here, try to find a link/source for a story, when possible...when asked.

Maybe I’ve missed it, or am unfamiliar with the posts you’re referring to.
