Making Celebs Knights was among the most ridiculous thing GB ever did. It rendered something rare and special into a meaningless gesture of star worship. It was one of the first indicators that England was truly lost.
I agree. The ‘honor’ should have been reserved for military heroes, scientists in medicine and others of true accomplishments.
But as my keyword indicated - this 20th century habit was based on wealth earnings and also keeping Royalty relevant to modern trends.
This is like making Wamba the fool and Jockomo the Clown knights so they can do battle with real foes.
Especially Sir Elton John (is his husband now called lady:)?
