There must be billions at stake for somebody, starting but not ending with the pharmaceutical industry. Oh no, can’t have a cheap off patent drug taking away their profits, oh no.
The anti malaria drug is set aside only for countries where the standard of living is low, where Big Pharma can't make a profit with their engineered antivirus drugs. That is just so big-hearted of them, so noble. That's their only agenda I'm sure.
