What is important about it is the percentage of people who still are flying, who still are traveling, who still are going to restaurants and having large gatherings.

I saw a # new dead by day chart that showed Italy leveled off ten days after they started isolation and that started several days ago. Italy entered recovery phase of new infections when they went into lock down. The cure for this is centuries old and it works. Isolation.

The Italy numbers require a much more sophisticated analysis.
Problem 1: Strong evidence that Italy is under-reporting deaths. We had an example of Lombardy deaths quadrupling over normal in the past month with CV only credited with a third of the increase.
Problem 2: Non Lombardy Italy numbers are still cranking. It is the Lombardy region that has put the virus on pause—but still at a high level of new positives and new deaths.
Yep. We lost 2 healthcare workers in GA this week. One was 44, found dead in her home. No underlying health issues.
There is a lot we still don’t know about this virus.
Yes on the “recovery phase.” The number is increasing much as of today. Maybe a long way to go, though. My guess, beginning in the second half of next month, if it gets as hot as usual for at least three days in a row (80s, F, or better) in the middle States east of KS with sunlight and humidity at or near around 50%.

This is how I see it too. The compassionate move to keep the elderly out of harm’s way is to prevent Medicare from bankrupting the country. So that’s out of the way, if the elderly keep sequestering. But the rest of it may be too much.

Actually this is a pretty quick kill, so I think unchecked Corona would actually be a big positive for SocSec and Medicare financials.
