Yes, lobsters are thrown in the pot alive.

I like lobster, but have not been able to eat it for a long time.

I don’t have a problem eating meat but I prefer that the animal have not suffered.

I’m still not convinced this virus started this way.

I tend to agree with you....a lot of the current guidance regarding the Wuhan Flu indicates that it is killed by high temperatures.

Wait... there are still people who really believe that this all started with a bowl of bat soup, and not in the giant Wuhan bio-weapons lab????

Lobsters are generally kept in a live tank for awhile and purge themselves.

“It wasn’t posted before.”

It’s the publication recycling stuff.

The bat soup video went viral in January.

I guess I’m missing something. What about this would anyone find attractive? Tantalizing? And why do they not have domesticated animals like chickens, hogs, and cows? ...Just confused..

Well it is derived from bats. That’s a fact.

This is my (very tasty) recipe, modified from an ordinary soup recipe that used bacon, but only because fresh bat is so hard to find:

Ingredients

4 small, live bats
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 stalk celery finely diced
1 carrot finely diced
1/2 yellow onion finely diced
2 cloves garlic minced or pressed
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups chicken broth
1 (12 oz) bottle Corona beer
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
1 (8 oz) package cream cheese cubed and softened to room temperature
1 (8 oz) block sharp cheddar cheese shredded
1 (8 oz) block pepper jack cheese shredded
Air fryer pretzel bites for serving

How to make Bat-Corona-cheese soup:

Cook live bats in a large stockpot - simmer slowly for an hour, just as you would with tough beef stew meat. Remove, and dice.
In the same stockpot, melt butter.
Stir in celery, carrot, onion, garlic, salt and pepper. Cook until the veggies are very soft.
Slowly whisk in flour and cook for about 2 minutes.
Slowly whisk in chicken broth, corona beer, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard.
Simmer for 10 minutes.
Remove from heat and SLOWLY stir in the cheeses: cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and pepper-jack cheese.
Pour soup into a high powered blender and blend until velvety smooth. You could also use an immersion blender, but it won’t be quite as smooth.
Stir in bat bits and serve with air fryer pretzel bites!
Enjoy (try not to cough up a lung if you get hit by the occasional bat soup side effects)!

I thought they cook the bat separately.

Bat Guano is a commodity with many uses.

the recipe doesn’t seem to indicate that. They say to boil it live, then remove the bat, skin it and debone it and throw the meat back into the same pot.

They’re so “moral” about bats, but they sure are cruel to dogs and cats.
