Trump’s fault.
Are we all going to die? I’d better shelter in my basement.
Deploying solar sail for braking no doubt.
Motie’s classic manuever.
“The Mote in God’s Eye”... great SF
Sorry, no interstellar impacts or supervolcano eruptions allowed. We have to stay home the next couple weeks.
IT’S COMIN’ RIGHT FOR US!
“In September 1019, the International Astronomical Union confirmed that the object was from another solar system, making it the second-known interstellar”
Aside from all the literate “journalists” being too busy trying to bring down Trump (”1019”), I wouldn’t want to forget the third-known mighty poor “Intersteller”.
Matt’s performance was only eclipsed by his attempt to portray Dirk Pitt.
If it breaks up during our short interaction (less than the blink of an eye) then it really is an oddity.
Obviously President Trump’s fault, and yet another byproduct of Anthropomorphic Global Warming. Send more tax money, surrender more freedoms - save the comet.
Another Covid victim.
That good? As good or on a par with The Moon is a Harsh Mistress and Foundation Series?
I mean, I will read it based on your recommendation.
Intercept it!
Seriously, by the time Halley’s Comet comes back around, we should have a robot lab we can attach for a free ride.
First one was a scout to confirm our presence. Second is deploying pods or whatever to take us over. Hey the timeline fits.
Moties is about as dry as Foundation, so if you liked Foundation, you will like Moties. I think Moties has a better universe and fleshes out a better and more imaginative story.
Moon is my favorite of the three.
But I do like almost anything by Niven. If you compare the three, all three do “hard science” science fiction. Not a whole lot of fantasy style magic going on in these.
I should add, by “dry” I mean narrative driven, and not so much wizz-bang driven like Heinlein can be. I’m not saying that dry is bad here.

Cool. Thanks a lot. I like my hard Sci Fi and my magic stuff too. Dresden Files are great books. Love PKD too.
Will read it. Thanks. Moon is one of those books that I read and felt bad that I didn’t already read it. If you know what I mean.
