first of all, the Greek concept of Pan does not line up with the Christian notion of Satan; in Greek thought Pan was a benign nature god, not engaged in opposing other deities as Satan has been depicted in conflict with God...second, okay, ‘panic’ does come from Pan the god, but ‘pandemic’ refers to the Greek ‘pan’ meaning ‘all’, as in the old PanAmerican Airlines; pandemic refers to a disease being experienced on all the world’s continents, and has nothing whatsoever to do with Pan the forest god...
