I am not convinced WHATSOEVER that a down economy “costs lives”.
This is not 1929. People are not jumping off of bridges because they are out of work a few weeks or months.
Plus, the idiots in Congress seem intent on paying people’s salaries for the duration. I saw Schumer today saying the Federal Government will “pay people’s salaries for up to 4 months”.
That’s staggering, but beside the point.
If you get a 4 month, government sponsored and paid for vacation, what’s the issue? Keep people safe. Find something else to entertain yourself for 4 months - or whatever the timeframe is.
People are not going to be jumping off buildings if they are off work for X months AND getting paid to lounge around.
So you think all Americans can go 4 months without working and the government can pay for that little vacation? You understand the government doesn’t have any money and they use our credit card for everything they do?
