President Donald Trump was featured in a Fox News Town Hall on the White House lawn about the CCP Virus alongside Vice President Mike Pence, Surgeon General Jerome Adams and White House Virus Task Force response coordinator Deborah Birx. It was hosted by Bill Hemmer and Harris Faulker who was able to teleconference in.
Trump's overall message in this town hall, maybe against the wishes of those around him, is for Americans to get back to work as soon as possible.
People are tired of the shutdown of our great country in the United States of America. They feel like prisoners in their own homes. They can't work to provide the basic needs of their household. All because of government mandate and/or suggestion that their employees/patrons are following.
Trump understands the aforementioned and also that this cannot continue. The damage done by trying to avoid the virus may, in the end, be worse than the virus itself. It is time to get back to work.
I ditto what you said Codeflier!!!
He needs to head to Democratic Underground for sure.
Guess his priorities are more in line with Mr. Joe...quid pro pro Joe... Abortion, Illegals, the works... bye bye jstolzen.

hanging my head in shame. HOW could I have forgot Judge Jeannine Piro. Love HER!
LOL “Chin up, lookin’at you, kid.”
You have just got to be kidding. If this economy is destroyed, you will learn what real death and destruction look like.
The destruction of our economy will have horrible repercussions across the globe. The destruction of America’s economy will bring a totalitarian control upon the survivors. Freedom like we have had in America will cease to exist among humankind everywhere.
Here’s your sign...
I'll take that bet. How much do you want to lose?
Isolation. For them.
My business will be bankrupt. Do you think that might be an issue?
That's how it should've been from the beginning. That's what South Korea did.
As someone who's immune system suppressed it makes zero sense to me to crash the economy for what, 1-2% of the overall population?
It's insanity.
Those of us who need to ought to self quarantine and let the rest of the country get back to work and develop the herd immunity necessary.
As I recall you had cooled on him at one time over some issue. If so glad you are back.
OK snowflake...do you have any idea of the long-term fallout if we actually go into a deep depression due to shutting down the economy? Unless the government suspended the Constitution - (that = enslaving us all) there would be millions of foreclosures and bankruptcies and more homeless and no government resources to actually take care of them - many more would become ill from just normal bugs/sanitary conditions and overwhelm a declining healthcare system....and that’s just for starters...if the concept of our FRee nation dies, we become Venezuela or worse....what would you sacrifice to prevent that and endure your children/grandchildren the same FReedoms yo and your selfish wife have enjoyed? Never mind - you already answered that question....if you have nothing you deem worth dying for, you have nothing worth living for...pathetic.
Are you and your wife still gonna vote for Biden?
Or were you just bullshitting about that?
We were NEVER voting for Biden (or any Dem). Ever.
But y’all still ain’t voting for Trump, right?
I’ve voted (R) my entire life, so yes - despite my misgivings about the guy at times, will likely vote for him regardless.
There are a lot of things I do love about DJT and always have..but I’m not so totally partisan that I won’t be critical of him or anyone else when I think criticism is warranted..he (nor anyone else) is “perfect”..
OK, good to hear that you were just bullshitting.
Now run along to the absorption chamber so you can become part of the body and lose everything that makes you a free-thinking adult
Isolation. For them.
Total isolation is unrealistic for many people. Have you checked the delivery times for Amazon's grocery delivery? It takes at least 3 days to get a loaf of bread. So the at-risk folks are going to have to venture outside their homes to go grocery shopping if nothing else.
The quarantine was never about stopping the virus, it was about slowing its spread to a manageable level so our hospitals wouldn't be overwhelmed. I might add that while young people are unlikely to die from CV they are actually the majority of those hospitalized for it. I kind of prefer the scenario where I have a lower chance of being hospitalized, especially since health care is so expensive. And if our hospitals do get overloaded that will crash the economy anyway. So I will wait until someone with an actual medical degree says it is safe. I don't hire electricians to fix my plumbing and I don't let Wall Street make my health care decisions for me.
I suppose there is some amount of marginal safety for your dad keeping the rest of us isolated along with him. Is the lockdown justified by that margin?
