100 people a day, die from automobile accidents!
120 people a day, die from opioid overdoses a day!
China’s first COVID 19 death is purported to have taken place on Dec 1st.
In that time frame... approx. 2,640 veterans have died from suicide in the USA.
In that time frame... approx. 12,000 people have died from automobile accidents in the USA.
In that time frame... approx. 14,400 people have died from opioid overdoses in the USA.
So- in just using those 3 data points, 29,040 people have died in the USA, over the same timeframe.
How many people died from the flu in the same timeframe?
How many died from COVID 19?
Do you now see how the media has blown this viral outbreak out of proportion? Why do you think that has happened?
As I’ve said..it’s not the number dead so far.
It’s the total collapse of our healthcare system that is imminent, plus hundreds of millions infected.
Our own local, 8 hospital healthcare system is at capacity already. There’s an article about it in the local paper this evening. They are already converting OR’s to ICU wards as their existing ICU wards are totally full with CV19 patients. And we’re only in inning 1 of a 9 inning ballgame.
I have a family member that’s a nurse in that system. She has a friend that intubated 15 people last night, in a 6 hour period. And that’s just the beginning of what we face..
Didn’t any of you catch Cuomo’s presser this AM? He did a far better job than I could pretend to do laying out the problem we ALL will face in terms of complete overload of our h/c systems..not to mention the potential number that won’t live thru CV19..
