I set my ringer to be “Sweet Home Alabama” once. I never answered my phone in time because my first response was always, “Someone’s playing my song.”

So now it’s just the default.

I don’t use any sounds that could be confused with environmental noise. I have the brrrrring! sound for the phone and the Horn of the Haradrim for texts.

So, I have this crossword puzzle app on my phone. I try to work one daily.

Twice now it has offered me a clue using the title of a Hugo Award winning novel by Isaac Asimov. Only the novel is “Stranger in a Strange Land”.

C’mon, people! There was more than one Sci Fi writer in the 60s. And those of us who know are thrown by these details.

Asimov’s mind wasn’t nearly as dirty as Heinlein’s. Or, at least he didn’t write about it.

I wanted to stay in bed. But the mattress pad had shut off and pills needed to be taken, and the tea should be had at 12-hour intervals, so I take it at 0400, at least an hour before or after a meal. By the time the pills are taken and the “breakfast,” it gives me about an hour before the tea, so if I sleep in, it skews the tea schedule. So I got up.

Well, the NY Post apparently found some damning emails to/from Hunter Biden implicating his dad’s role in all the money he made from foreign nationals.

I am very suspicious about the timing.

Right now, I am even more suspicious that Facebook and Twitter have censored the story until it can be “Fact Checked.” That has me leaning toward believing they are real.

Fact Check ETA is 11/4, I bet.

It’s looking bad for Facebook and Twitter, in the medium term, maintaining their legal status as “neutral platforms” rather than “media outlets.”

A lot of people aren’t aware that, while conservatives consider the big social media companies to be obviously left-wing, the far left considers them far too “conservative.” They may get the Zot in a Harris/Biden administration.

I’ve read enough about that since your post to realize that yes, the story is probably true and the Left is trying to do some damage control but the subject is far to volatile to suppress it completely, and the best they can hope for is the fact-checkers (propaganda team) can pull the wool over some eyes.

This country has wised up the Left exponentially since Obama took office, and I think the end result will be the eventual dissolution of the Democrat party as we know it. </soap box

Twitter and Facebook are neutral platforms in the same way that war is peace, freedom is slavery, and ignorance is strength.

My proposal has always been that the regulators force those companies to separate their data collection/maintenance from the presentation layers. Make the data management a public utility and allow resellers to tailor the data however the users like.
