A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
I could comment but it would be unseemly...
Bodies, bodies everywhere and nary a ...
Nevermind. That was a bad start. I expect a worse finish. I’ll stop there.
I’m sorry to hear you went through all that.
Especially the brain fogging bit.
Makes me wonder how long I’ve had it. Since 1987, as near as I can recall.
The Eligant stinkhorn .
Assuming it is named so for the same reasons.....
Ours is while and goes a slimy green at the top. Oh, and humms badly.
All but identical bar the nice red colour. :)
Tomorrow is supposed to be nice, planning a trip to the coast .
On the other hand, the Coronavirus might forget how to procreate - er - replicate - er do that thing they do.
Hearst Castle, San Simeon California Constructed 1919-1947
;>)
LOL....
Every hedge, Every ditch, the signs of another dastardly crime.
The lonesome ringing of the bell as another script takes hold its power on the village of eternal slaughter.
Series 22 of Midsomer Muders being filmed now....
Just ignore the backhoe, nothing to see here.
Most impressive. Has it been converted into a hotel?
:)
No, William Randolph Hearst set up a trust...Open to the public...

Hearst Castle, Hearst San Simeon State Historical Monument, La Cuesta Encantada, and The Enchanted Hill
There are several vintage youtube videos of WRH showing off the entire property...including his vast wildlife preserve
So much of it was bought and transported from Europe and reassembled into coherent design
Stinkhorns are a pretty large group. We didn’t notice that it smelled particularly bad, but we were mostly handling the light orange part, which is a hollow cylinder with the texture of packing foam. I thought it smelled like soil, but Kathleen said watermelon.
I hope you enjoy the coast!
That much Brandy could cause and “accidents cause people” incident...
I saw enough of that to last a lifetime. We were living in the Bay Area when Patty Hearst did her little va-cay with the Symbionese Liberation Front/Army. For weeks we couldn’t turn on the TV without another talking head giving the latest opinion of the news of the Rich and Famous Poor Little Patty.
I do believe that’s the first time I’ve seen the property from the air, and THAT, is interesting and I like it! :o]
Despite my trips to the west coast, never thought to take the tour there at those times...always the “I coulda” moment after arriving back home.
I’ve lived in a lot of cities where I did that. Bay Area, St Louis, Fairfax, Del Rio, San Diego, Los Angeles (when CA was still a pleasant state to be in.)
Flooy cat sez it’s Friday Eve!!
Good morning.
I was almost asleep when a text came in. Then another, and another. It was my Favorite DiL, showing off her new haircut, complete with befores and after and a commentary of how her late mother thought she looked so pretty in bangs. She doesn’t yet know the reality of the written words, “I go to bed around 2:00 PM and fall asleep between 4:00 and 5:00, so I’m up fairly early.” I can see my schedule will be altered when I get to AR, but not by choice.
The new phone is a challenge. If I shut the ringer off, it automatically shuts off the sound to the alarm and because I’m trying to get back on a decent (for me) sleep schedule, I need to hear the alarm. So it means I have to leave everything else on. I’ll get it figured out, one of these days.
My phone has the option to do different sounds or no sound for various functions. I’m not sure how it’s done, but Pat or Tom could do it for me.
Good luck on the next few hours!
My last phone was like that, and I had a sound for pill alarms, one for alerts, one for text messages, and my very favorite ring tone, “Sweet Home Alabama.” A sneeze was my text alert. The “punctuation” for “Law & Order” was my alert tone. I have the ring tone and the rest are default, even though I’ve tried to change them.
I just printed out the map. I’ve shut off the maps function in my phone because Google sends me a map of where I’ve been every month and I find that tremendously intrusive. So I’ll use a paper map.
I feel that today, I could accomplish so much if I could stay home, as there are little things that are awaiting my attention, and I’m in the mood for “little things.” I don’t think it would be difficult to reschedule for next week, but I’m going to wait and see how much I can get done by the time the phones are open. I just hate to waste an “energy day.”
I have things to do, as well, but my first choice would be getting back in bed with Jake until whenever.
