A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Best wishes on working it out!
That reminds me that I still need to make a dentist and some doctor appointments.
DP isn’t up yet. I hope he isn’t sick. I wish I’d gotten clothes out last night so I could get dressed, but oh well.
Thanks. I have a couple of other calls to make today, so I’ll add that into the mix. Open enrollment starts the 15th, so I can at least get information before then. I just researched some of the doctors and the pain clinic is listed, but nothing on the GP I have. However, I didn’t feel like wading through 400 pages of providers for Utah to find one person, so I’ll save that for my phone call.
I hate when the people around me get sick. It’s so hard to know what to do for them. Especially the whiny ones.
Some people like to be sick as ostentatiously as possible in the middle of other people’s workplace, as opposed to staying quietly in their own room and accepting a hot beverage.
But oh well.
If I haven’t lost track again, it’s Thursday.
Happy Friday Eve!
Nothing felt like “coming on strong.”
Sometimes making lemonade takes a lot of effort, and you need someone to vent to while you’re working. Vent on.
It is Thorsday. Thor is not in sight, which is good in a way. We’ll be starting Shakespeare at 8:00.
w00t!
Yes, I’ve been a victim of the Ostentatiously As Possible illnesses of Other People and it seems the older they get, the worse they become. It’s often tantamount to a tantrum, if there is such a thing.
Good luck on your day. The Games should be a welcome break.
Thanks! As usual, you’re a gentleman and a geeky scholar. ;o]
The sick (?) person has toddled out for some exercise.
I’m pretty much annoyed at the whole group today. Games will be nice.
Oh. Yes. Happy Friday Eve to you as well. Perhaps if I can get my Friday Eve things done in a timely manner, the drive into St George on Friday will be pleasant. My way of celebrating the day, you see.
Oh, crikey. Things that make you gnash your teeth!
Diversions are always good. You’ve told me about Exploding Kittens, but I’m still in the dark.
Now, I think I’ll go play in the closet.
Thanks!! I had to look to see why you did that...
Exploding Kittens is a nerd card game. It is very silly.
If it’s as silly as the name implies, good luck to you!
Two bags ready for donation. One medium bag and a small bag to go under the bed. A congress of hangers awaiting disposition, and some clothes to be hung up. Then I have to do some rearranging in order to get a heavy blanket out of the corner of the closet and try to find a better bag to put it in for the donation pile.
I love it. It’s thick plush with a different design on either side, but it’s a toss-up between that and the quilt. Both have to go to a commercial cleaners for cleaning, but the blanket is warmer than the quilt. One of them will have to go. I’ll decide that later, I think.
Now I’m going to take a break and after a while, I’ll go in and hang up the winter clothes I took out yesterday. It just seems to take a little bit longer than it did two years ago.
Exchange:
“Vlad wonders if there will be food.”
“There will be if he brings some!”
We’re taking a cake I had in the freezer, and Lisa is bringing plates and forks.
And now, I need to round up the Student Driver and go to Walmart.
I don’t know why, but I love cakes that have been in the freezer!
Good luck on the Student Driver Escapade.
Cheated Death Again: No Tater Tots.
I had to get shredded potatoes for casserole for tomorrow.
I can’t see or hear that phrase without hearing King Arthur saying that perhaps they won’t go to Camelot after all. “It is a silly place.”
About the only casseroles I think about are some version of Funeral Potatoes or lasagna.
A couple of days ago, I ate the last of the frozen lasagna and I was thinking this morning that I need to make some more so I can freeze it. It seems to be the one dish I really like as leftovers. Well, that, and spaghetti. I haven’t quite figured out how to put the spaghetti into equal portions for freezing, but I’ll try to work that out.
I also found a cool way to make garlic bread. I often buy a bag of mini-bagels and this time, when I heated up the lasagna, the bag of bagels was on the counter. I split one, toasted it, buttered it and did the obligatory garlic salt and Italian herbs. It was surprisingly good! So maybe I can make them up in advance about the same time I make the lasagna or the spaghetti and freeze them. Maybe.
