Well. Sorry. My right eye. However, one of my calls was for an appointment to have my right eye looked at so I can set up The Appointment to have it lased so I can see properly instead of going around half blind. Literally.

I’m waiting now for a call back from the GP’s office for an appointment to see him, so I can get any meds I need. It’s been over a year since I’ve been in and I guess he thinks I need looking after a little closer. OK. For now. ;o]

This could very well be Monday instead of Wednesday.

It’s actually Tuesday. I’m sure of it. I had my WW meeting, and later, there’s Kathleen’s riding lesson, and also, it’s Trash Day.

I think it must be a day that isn’t even listed on the calendar. Like Afidsday or Womaxday.

It’s not even Trash Day. That will happen tomorrow.

This young lady goes to HR to complain about a coworker:

“Every time he’s near me he says my hair smells nice.”

“So? Biden does that all the time...”

“Yeah, but this guy’s a MIDGET!”

Morning cat looks almost like a polecat! LOL! Maybe that’s just the lighting.

Good morning.

Another good night’s sleep, and it felt wonderful. I hope it keeps up. No phone calls. :o] I was going to call the nephew but I was just too tired, and was out before 1700. I’ll try to get him later today.

The shower has been had, and next up is to watch some of the talks from Saturday evening’s Women’s Session. It will start my day on a good note. :o]

Then, I plan to pack some small things. I’ve decided I’m going to use soft cloth gloves and “dust” them as I get them ready for padding and packing. That way, they won’t be so — ugly — when I unpack them on the other end.

I’ve decided to take photos of the book shelves as I pack the books, and that way, I can just separate the ones you want as I go. Who knows? There might be something... At any rate, I have to get started. ;o])

Good morning. I’m glad your day is starting off well. We’re still missing a couple of young persons. If they don’t arrive by 0630 EDT, I’ll call them 15 minutes earlier (0545) tomorrow.

My Favorite Son would call that "DI Mode." Fitting!

I just listened two hours of Conference condensed into 75 minutes. Minus hymns and Station ID. It was as good as I expected it to be if not better. It reminds me of my obligations, but it seems this is where CFIDS steps in and overwhelms me to the point that I'm almost paralyzed. It happens too often. :o|

God doesn’t put obligations on people that are impossible for them.

The youths arrived on time, so tomorrow’s rise-and-shine will be at 0600 again.

Intellectually, I know this. However, it doesn't translate easily into the actual doing. I suppose if I could learn to take things in small bites, it would be different, but CFIDS often makes even the start a difficult thing.

Even after almost 30 years with the disease, three years of intensive therapy to learn to deal with it, and setting up a series of checks and balances to function "normally," there are times when I'm still angry about who I've become in its wake.

Noticed your wishful thinking that you reached hump day yesterday...didn’t want to spoil your mood so early in the day.

Since my last post, I gathered up the stuff under the bed and began to sort out the winter clothes and divide stuff I’ve shrunk out of, and will get back to it in about an hour.

The closet is next, and I suspect there will be an ever greater weeding-out by the time I’m done with that. At any rate, I won’t be packing today, as I had thought, but this is just as productive because it means that I’ll be able to decide whether to get wardrobe boxes for the move, or just use trash bags and hangers, like I did for the last move.

I will have less to move, for sure, and that makes me feel better already!

I like getting rid of things!

In a few minutes, I’ll be leaving on a Pat Driving Adventure to pick up a book at church and take Vlad to the Post Office to mail the Magic: The Gathering cards he has sold. Some of them are international, so we’ll have to ask about the postage.

Also, we finished Act IV of “Henry IV, Part I.” They’re about to have the Battle of Shrewsbury, with scads and lashings of violent death, but first, they have to talk more.

When I was in high school one of my best friends was an amazing piano player. We lost touch when we went to different colleges. I kept expecting to hear he was part of some famous rock band.

A while later I contacted him again (I can’t remember how that happened) and he told me he was living a bachelor’s life, traveling Europe and mostly with one woman. When he needed money he would play organ for a church. It sounded like fun but it wasn’t what I expected.

When I checked in with him again, he’d had a stroke. He was back in the U.S. (because socialized medicine was so good for him) and unable to play. He was very angry at God. I think he would know how you feel.
