A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
I read recently that soon we won’t have to wait for the USPS to deliver really cool stuff. A Dr. Joseph Svoboda has managed to figure out how to email physical materials, even people. Apparently he has performed an experiment on himself. His first such message read, “The Czech is in the mail.”
Apparently it will be a while before the product can be made commercially viable.
Ha-ha! That’s good! My sis’s late hubby was Czech, and at one time, they were unemployed and living very rough and she referred to them as “the bum Czechs.” So yah, I get the joke!
This sounds suspiciously like the DarksFAX. Also not commercially viable.
Said card is actually in today’s mail! It looks to be the only thing worth walking over there for! They never list the packages so if there’s no mail, and I’m expecting something, I have to walk over there or wait until I get a notice that its been delivered. *sheesh*
However, it works well for online, invisible Ethernet items.
A floof with your coffee!!
Good morning.
I slept well, I think. I didn’t hear the phone ring, but it was my nephew in Tucson, again. I’ll call him later this morning.
Nor the text messages that came in. But that’s OK. I slept. Got up once or twice and went immediately back to sleep, so I feel somewhat good this morning, though not stupendous. I have a sore throat, but can’t decide if it’s allergies or CFIDS.
Still, the pills have been sorted, the clothes on hangers have been put in the closet and the ones on the drying rack will be moved to the bed soon, to be folded and put away later.
I’ll wash my face off in a bit and then be ready for the Walmart Wind.
Friday is my first appointment for an ultrasound on my right knee, in lieu of a steroid injection. I don’t know how it works but if I don’t have to deal with needles, I’m good. Knee surgery/replacement is out for now, because of the packing that is to come.
We’ve had a cold going through the family, producing sore throats, but post-nasal drip from allergies is also a thing. I feel pretty well so far today.
Vlad listed some Magic: The Gathering cards on an exchange website yesterday, and he already has offers on several. I’ll help him get them in the mail to the buyers (and advance him the postage), and he’ll pay me back when he gets his earnings.
How fun to learn how be an Interwebs salesman!! Good luck to Vlad.
I have to charge my phone this morning before I head for Wally’s. It’s nice not to have to charge it every time I turn around. These days, though, they don’t make them to last more than two years so I suppose I’d better get used to replacing it.
Now, I need to check FB to see if there are any takers on the flight cage. One gal wanted it but wanted the birds, too, so I had to edit the ad to say “cage only!” *sheesh* If I were going to sell it with birds, I would have listed it that way.
I texted Tom to see if he has any stiff plastic card-holders Vlad can use. Tom has bought cards by mail before. If not, Vlad says they sell them at Walmart.
Happy Wednesday, everyone.
In my time zone, it is Tuesday.
Except, of course, it’s Tuesday.
Yesterday was a loooooooong day apparently.
There’s no law that says you have to do a Tuesday.
I’ll take a Wednesday. I’ll wait until tomorrow to do it, though because now, I’m full to the top with Tuesday. ;o]
I was going to get some money for quarters but forgot to check my balance before I left, and hesitated on the side of caution. Unless I go back to Walmart, I’ll get cash tomorrow when I go to the library and get the quarters on my way home.
Last week, I was going to buy cleaning fluid and pads for my Wet-Jet, but it looked as if they were out. I checked again today, and it turns out, I was looking on the wrong side of the aisle. So today, I got a big box of the pads and a quart of the liquid, as now that the rug is rolled up, I’ll have to make sure this floor is clean. I use Endust on the dust mop and it does a good job make the place look like someone cares.
Maybe I’ll get some small things packed up today. :o]
Everything that is packed is something that no longer needs to be packed.
I’m off (upstairs) to my Zoom WW meeting.
If I were in WW, I could boast another pound gone today!
I’ll be on the phone for a while this morning, so I don’t know if any packing will get done while I have the stamina. We’ll see.
Congratulations! I lost .4 lbs. last week.
Good for you!!
I don’t want to lose that much in a week unless its water, and I’ve done that, but it always makes me feel horrible for the next little while.
