The first five hours of the day have always been my most productive, but these days, when the fifth hour is on the way out, so is my stamina and the rest of the day is a wash.

Which is why I choose to do hand crafts. If I have to sit and do nothing, I’ll keep my hands busy.

When I get back from my appointment, I’ll be worn out, and tomorrow’s shopping trip at the thrift store is looking grimmer and grimmer. I suspect I’ll have to cancel.

In other news, my Favorite Son and his wife called yesterday, just as I was settling into bed. I was getting ready to eat my “supper” of crackers and rice pudding, and the pills were stuck in my throat, waiting for a “pusher.” The call lasted over 40 minutes, but it was fun. He always falls into such good luck.

They bought a dual recliner loveseat with the drink island between, but it hurt Favorite DiL’s neck, so they went back to the store and were told that as long as they got something of equal or better value, they could trade it in within 30 days. The trade-in is a plain loveseat, but the sofa goes with it and that has dual recliners. Those folks can’t live without their recliners! :o]

I take it Elen, USMC knows you like mushrooms? What a thoughtful gift. I might check the kit out, just because I like mushrooms.

Yes, Elen, USMC, knows I like mushrooms, both as a food and as a natural phenomenon.

I don’t mind a recliner, but they don’t last long around here due to usage by large young men who fling themselves down and about.

Good morning! Here's an adorable dog story...

There's always one! Adorable dog ruins family photos with his siblings by pulling silly faces and refusing to face the camera

“Well, I’m back,” said Monday.

“Go away again,” said Kitteh.

Happy Monday.

Just like some kids. Never see a camera but they have to break into a grin as big as all outdoors! Thanks, Mewzilla! That was fun!

Good morning, ArGee.

Welcome to the first Monday this week! Congratulations on the small straight. It’s been a while since I’ve been aware of one. Seen them, no doubt, but aware? Meh.

Now let’s see you do the thing with the knitting needle that John Stamos does in the Geico commercial.

Sorry, I haven’t seen that commercial, and besides, I was using a crochet hook. Two different tools. ;o]

Cheated Death Again: Bucolic Scenes

Pat did not forget how to drive. Now it’s naptime.

Wow. Pretty good for a Monday. Cheating Death, Bucolic Scenes and Naptime!

In two weeks, I’ll get a steroid injection in my right knee. My pain pills will not be changed, but when I go to get the steroid, I think I’ll change my next appointment to St George. This doctor seems to think if one has gray hair, one is hard of hearing, but with me, since the CFIDS makes me super-sensitive to sound, it’s physically painful for me to listen to him talk about procedures and medication doses. Unngh.

Now, I’m worn out, of course.

I sympathize with being worn out. Don’t know about you, but I could use a good night of sleep.

Meanwhile, back to the grind.

Not the best Geico has ever done, but still worth a watch.

Yah...funny!

But I thought there was a “truth in advertising” law? If so, he should have really knitted that scarf! Still, it was funny, and at least now I know his political affiliation.

Thanks! It brightened up my day. :o])

If there were a truth in advertising law none of our politicians would be walking around free.

Not even the dog catcher.
