The late Igor used to say, “A change is as good as a rest,” and I know that’s true. When you get back from your trip there will be plenty of time to get back into the seriousness of life.

I’m going to call the management company in AR either today or next week. The gal is obviously ignoring me and that’s not very nice of her.

She’s supposed to have sent a letter informing me of the fact that my application has been accepted (or not) and that my name has been put on the Wait List (or not.) Neither thing has been done.

Anyway, it’s no wonder I have a migraine. :o|

I’m very sorry about your migraine. I’ve been chewing garlic cloves for the right-side-of-my-head blockage. Maybe a change of air and plants will help.

I’m really looking forward to Tom’s seeing the maritime tropic forest at Hunting Island State Park (which also has a lighthouse, DP’s enthusiasm). Tom was upset that he couldn’t go there the last time.

Happy Friday! Patrick isn’t up yet, so no Driving Adventure. I think I’ll arrest Kathleen and do a Reading Adventure.

Thanks about the headache, but since I’ve had them since I was only eight years into my growth cycle, I’ve learned to mostly deal with them except when they affect my vision and give me nausea. It will end, eventually. Usually, they get tired of hanging around after the 10th day.

The maritime tropic forest sounds fun, actually. I’ve decided I need to take more photos of the area around here. All I have to do is stop the car, but some days, it just slips my mind!

Cheated Death Again: The Long Way ‘Round

We found ourselves at the Goodwill store, eventually, and I bought a dress.

I know how you feel.

Most day it seems that everything I put into my mind is slathered with a generous coating of Vaseline.

I need to have Gonzo seen to get his beak trimmed, but I was waiting. It still needs to be done, but I’ll wait until next week.

I wish the Vaseline Effect was plausible. With me, it’s the auras an the nausea that affect the way I function. Except when I’m very tired. Then migraine or not, my right eye acts like its trying to peer through chicken soup.

Maybe I can get Kate, the Bookcase Lady to come with me to the thrift store in St George. I need to do some Retail Therapy! Then maybe we can eat someplace inexpensive while we’re there.

Catballs are great to wake up to.

Good morning.

Crikey. Looks like we both slept in. I can’t believe I slept until 0447. I think I woke up around 2300 and then went right back to sleep. Glorious sleep!

My entire schedule is thrown off, now, and the most important thing is trying to adjust the tea dose this morning. *groan* I hate when I sleep in on a tea cycle. (I thought of saying, “And it’s a most uncomfortable vehicle,” but it’s not as punny as when it first came to me.)

One of my nephews (late eldest sister’s youngest boy) has just moved to FL and has invited me to visit “any time.” I’ve never been to FL, but now, I think I want to visit them. I might even be able to get some of my eldest sister’s papers and genealogical work. It’s something to think about, for sure.

Is today Saturday?

It is Saturday, and Florida is an okay place to visit. It has alligators! Also egrets and stuff.

I’m cleaning things up and working on organizing for the trip. Later, there will be a Pat Driving Adventure.

Nephew Kerry, and his wife have already posted photos of ali-goiters and even cranes, who “only walk in pairs” and a sunset on a flat ocean. I prefer sunset behind bluffs, but then, I’ll soon prefer them behind rolling hills. And if I lived in FL (which I won’t do) I’d enjoy them at the beach!

The first three episodes of the Lone Ranger are showing, in order, complete with William Tell Overture, and the loyal sidekick, Tonto. Jay Silverheels was a guest on Johnny Carson a few times. And it would seem I’m fluent in Babble this morning.

The more I work on that shawl, the cuter it is, and as a result, everything else has been put aside until this is done! LOL! I never thought that would be a fun project but it most certainly is! :o]

*tagline*

I’m looking forward to it! It will be slightly subversive of my extremely boring suburban church lady persona. Tom will approve.

I will make a second one, either in orange or purple, for my Favorite Daughter, as Hallowe’en is her favorite holiday. But probably not in time for this year. It just depends on how long it takes to get this one done and sent.

Tom has excellent taste!

Tom is a bit of a chameleon, which can be very useful in life.

Yes, but I happen to like human chameleons. They’re usually fun to be around.

In other news, Favorite Daughter has decided she wants a purple shawl. :o] Another fun project! But after the gray one, I have to get back to work on the flamingos.

(Florida has flamingos, too, doesn’t it? I’ll ask Kerry if they have seen any, yet!)
