A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
I’ll take sympathy.
Yes, nobs exist...just not here and the finances needed to simply leave even if I found employment elsewhere just don’t exist.
I hate being in this situation, hate this state, and hate being a literal wage slave.
Some employers have relocation help for new employees. They are really hurting out there! It couldn’t hurt to talk with your family about where you might like to live and what kind of jobs you could pursue, and send some emails. Doesn’t cost anything to look!
I’m so very glad she’s thriving, ArGee! It means she is loved and that’s always a good thing.
Yes, the cheating death thing is alive and well. I have a “toddler” bird who is into everything, but to deprive her for safety reasons seems cruel. So I have to substitute things!
Bloom County, indeed! :o])
For what it’s worth, Darks, I’ll add you to my prayer list, and ask that you are inspired where to look, and that things will come together for you and your family. It’s the best I can do.
Well, I was up in the night because of the migraine, and then, as I was trying to go back to sleep, the text messages started from my two Favorite Children.
Grandson #1 has been evacuated with his little family in OR because of fires there and in northern CA, (they lived between the fires, and may not have a home to go back to) and Grandson #2 is in Portland, enduring the riots. Both boys have three babies, and my Favorite Daughter is beside herself.
And the G-Ma can do nothing but pray for all of them.
My Favorite Son has been inferring that Grandson #4 has been celebrating his 18th birthday all week, and it doesn’t actually come until Saturday. How fun is that? No news on Grandson #3, so I’m guessing everything is OK with them.
(The computer didn’t want to accept someone named “ArGrr,” for some reason...)
Good morning. I hope everything works out for all the family personnel!
That’s exactly what I needed! A floof!
Good morning.
All I can do is pray for my grandkids and have faith that they will all be safe.
I’ve already done some “work” this morning. Mostly just hiding the clutter in places where it doesn’t matter. I’ll work on the kitchen in a little bit. Who knows when I’ll have the stamina to do it again? As it is, two days in a row is amazing!
Good morning! A catball is always a good start to the day.
Next, I’ll be encouraging the yutes out of bed. We’ve been off schedule the last couple of weeks, but I’ll get us back on after the trip.
When are you leaving?
More work has been done. Gloriosky. It may set a trend!
I’m going to clean the printer heads and nozzle again, because I really do need to be able to print.
For about the last month, I’ve been setting things aside to take down to the Catholic church, and with any luck, this morning, I’ll have another box for them. I’m just not willing to pack this stuff and take it with me, to be tossed when I get there!
Sunday noonish. One of us will pick up Tom from his house, so he can leave his car there.
Who’s minding the catz?
The people across the street from me think parking on the street is the thing to do, even though all of them have assigned parking spots. As a result, the garbage truck has a hard time getting to the dumpster to empty it. Yesterday, it was here three times, and the last time, the driver evidently moved the dumpster so it faced toward the other “entrance” and and when I took the trash out this morning, I had to walk a little bit farther to toss the bag.
I’ve decided that people are inherently lazy, in this place. There is one old guy who lives a couple of doors down who will shuffle to the dumpster on nice days, or when he feels well, and I often see him at Walmart, but most days, he drives his car to the dumpster. He reminds me of a sloth — very slow in his movements.
I did a catch up. I’ll be praying, Darks.
My job isn’t nearly so bad, although I could blister the paint on the walls if I vented to the client right now. But I will be glad to get out of NYS to just avoid having anyone think I’m responsible for Fredo’s brother.
Patrick will mind the cats and lizards, while also going to his job, and otherwise enjoy some time to himself.
Joe: Did you hear Stan's wife left him?
Mitch: No. I know she was always a little afraid of him. How did she tell him?
Joe: She left a note on the bathroom mirror, the full length one.
Mitch: How did Stan take it?
Joe: He was beside himself.
A little ArGrr humor, there.
Oh, Wait! Is it Friday Eve?
Happy Friday Eve, everyone!
Cheated Death Again: The Post Office
Happy Friday Eve! The Pat Driving Adventure when to the USPO, where I mailed the comic books and a pile of bank statements to Elen, USMC, and some science quizzes to Brenda from the science team.
The latter cost $2, which is less than the gas to get to her house and back on a Pat Driving Adventure and easier on the nerves, and also, I think they’re out of town, anyway.
I love ArGrr Humor. It fits right in with the atmosphere I grew up in. There aren’t quite so many of us to keep the punny bally rolling now, but still — I know humor when I see it. ;o]
Happy Friday Eve, indeed!
