Oh, my, Moose! That is exquisite!

How are things in England? I’ve been watching travel videos with Professor Allitt on The Great Courses, and I’m really getting the urge to go to England and see Cool Old Stuff!

Tom the Son is here earning some rent and utility and phone and insurance and food money by doing household tasks. Right now, he’s replacing light fixtures. He has several skills.

The downstairs bathroom has been painted with Tropical Breeze, aka peach. That’s two bathrooms and the laundry room since Wednesday. Tomorrow, when the paint is fully dry, Tom will replace the pedestal and sink with a cabinet and sink.

I’m paying him $12-$15 per hour (tax exempt) plus meals if he feels like it.

Good evening TC.
That Pub is now on my list of places to investigate, when the silliness calms down.

Everything is still governed by the WoHooFlu. People are getting bored with it so the numbers are rising again, albeit slowly.
The Cool stuff will still be here waiting for you when it is considered safe to re open free travel. At the moment alll attractions are on a pre booked basis only, which is beginning to grate a bit.
Even worse news: The Public have discovered the Country Side. Getting any peace now requires a minimum of an hours walk from wherever you abandoned the car.

Brexit negotiations have collapsed and resumed again several times, the farce continues.

We’ve been having an amazing experience this year....I’ve heard rumour it is called a Summer. Hardly any rain since March. Rain forecast for next week. :D

Replacing light fixtures:
Watched some videos on You View about ‘Merican and Canadian electrical systems. Let’s just say, rather you than me....
So good luck to him with that.

If he wants to branch out, I've got maybe two or three years worth of work to get done up this way.

Tom has been successful with replacing fixtures. If we wanted to add something, I’d need to get Juan Aguilar My Lighting Guy. He put in the ceiling fan in the living room, after the builder refused.

We were camping last weekend at a state park, and the place was just crawling with people. We heard that there was over a half-hour wait on Saturday afternoon, just to get into the park, and there were scads of people around the waterfall, ignoring the signs that said, “Don’t climb down there or you’ll die, idiot!” in English and Spanish. The only people with masks were Asian women.

Nobody died, though. We met a group of Indian people from Trinidad who were speaking a really wonky version of Spanish. Also, it stormed a lot, but at convenient times, like mid-afternoon (naptime) and over night.

I think I want to go to Wales. There are lots of murders in Wales.

School will start soon, but if he’s still poor at Christmas, I’ll mention the possibility of doing your repairs.

I'd be tempted to want to go with you, but I'd probably want to come back also.

You only get murdered if you live in a Stately Home or associate with people having confusing personal relationships. Your average, sober, historically-minded, American tourist just has to beware of people driving on the wrong side of the road, and also gravity.

Heck, I can do that here.

I’ve figured out how to see photos, but it takes me out of FR and I still haven’t figured how to get back in without opening a new page.

The photo is much prettier enlarged! Thanks, Moosie! :o])

Wales:
Very nice for a visit but you couldn’t eat a whole one.
Great beaches, Awsome castles, Beautiful Moutain walks.
Vintage Steam , and a very interesting for the kids visit to Electric Mountain.
And Sheep, Lots of Sheep. IF you then choose to leave you will notice their absence. Sheep will appear in your dreams for years after.
Easy to get about, with road signs and markings in both English and Welsh.

Glad to hear of success....a confidence booster when things work and not explode.
Ceiling Fans.....Oh how glad I am I fitted those.

Did I mention Sheep? Most of the Murders are Sheep related....so I’m told. :D

:”Driving on the wrong side of the road”

Ahem! :D
Sheep walk on the left.

Bob, Being Murdered is something have to request on the Landing Card upon arrival. Nothing happens without the correct and triplicated paper work. Unless....you upset the Sheep....

OK. Now I want to go to the islands of my roots. Every time I watch a British series, no matter where its set, (I even liked the stark, harshness of “Shetland!”) I want to renew my passport, borrow a bunch of money and GO!

Even if I lived there, I don’t think I could live long enough to see everything I wanted to see. So I appreciate every photo you send, Moosie! :o])

Sweet little Floof!

Good morning.

The laundry is done, even though I didn’t get up until 0235. I probably would have slept longer except that the mattress pad shut off and I got cold. Still, since it wasn’t Linens Day, it was OK.

I had to drink my tea before I forgot (only 10 days left in this cycle) and now I need to go hang up the laundry. The nights are cooling off quite a bit, now, and it won’t be long before I have to swap out the summer clothes for winter. I’ll contribute a lot to the donation pile, this time. With my weight loss continuing, I won’t be able to wear them next summer.
