It’s odd (I think) but when I go to visit my Favorite Son, I can hear traces of “Southern” in his speech, but when he comes out here to visit, its gone. I often wonder if its something he uses to help him with his handyman business. If so, it’s probably working too well! He’s VERY busy!

Yes, I am well. My family is being overly protective of me, which worries me somewhat. I’ve always felt that I had a robust immune system, but I’m so protected now, I don’t think my immune system is getting any exercise.
Meanwhile, everyone else around here is going out every day to confront people who might be carriers, and then they come back home to me.
(Softly, in a voice they think I cannot hear, “Yeah, he’s still alive.”)
