A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Yes, in some cultures, fiber arts still are a male occupation, like rug making, and fabric dying. But today, its mostly a woman’s world, though I think like men design hair styles and clothing to flatter a woman.
The byos will probably be plumb wore out by the time they get home. LOL!
That’s what I need. A big guardian angel when I foray into the world.
Happy Wednesday, everyone.
We still can’t wait until we’re “almost out” to go shopping since finding things in the stores is still hit or miss.
Even Petsmart suffers up here.
Happy Odin’s Day to you! Heading for Walmart while I still have my extremities.
Happy Hump Day!
Good luck on your dental visit.
I went to Walmart by myself. It goes better when I take a Son with Height!
Yes, my mother liked having me around for the same reason!
Me? I got a two-foot step-stool because there’s only someone taller when my Favorite Son is here! I’m so excited, now!
I’d feel stupid carrying a stool around the Walmart ;-).
Yeah, well, they didn’t have Walmarts when I was growing up, either, so I guess we’re OK... ;o]
I’m playing a song on YouTube that we’re hoping to sing on Sunday. Pat doesn’t realize he’s tapping a rhythm!
DP and I will do music for a funeral tomorrow for the lady in our congregation who died. I’m waiting to hear if her relatives want any particular music.
Oy. Rafaela from my choir just phoned and said that the brother of the deceased lady once told him she wanted Rafaela to sing “Ave Maria” at her service, if she died. (She was ill for a long time before Covid.) Rafaela was having a cow.
However - deep breaths - we arranged that she’ll come over this evening to practice, and she can sing with me on the parts that aren’t crazy difficult. The important thing is to make a good effort to do what the family prefers!
I used to like “Ave Maria,” but I think I heard it in too many murder mysteries and I don’t like it any more. Please don’t sing it at my funeral. My hymn of preference is “It Is Well With My Soul.”
A while ago, when I checked FB, I had a message from the wife of one of my nephews. They’re come out here to get the rest of their stuff in storage and will be picking up the secretary desk and his bookcase, and I’ll give them a couple of my dad’s tempera paintings to take back to my sister. It’s the only thing she wanted after our Late Unreal Brother’s funeral.
I’ve had the stuff cluttering me up for a while, now... since the same peeps were here last year and expressed their desires to have said items!
At least I won’t have to move that stuff to AR with me.
We aim to please the decedent ;-). I’m not crazy about “Ave Maria,” myself.
At least I don’t have to turn over in my casket in fear that it will be sung... ;o]
True.
My Lego set came! I won’t open it until WAC is over.
Well, he got it all this time. He thinks there is a lot of infection in there so he wants to check in a month to make sure it’s all gone. Then I can get on with repairing the crowns that need to be repaired.
Once upon a time I knew a guy who was planning to spend $20k to replace all his natural teeth with implants. He had a heart attack and died before he could carry it out. But right now I’m thinking that would be a reasonable way to go.
I want to write a song about the victorious Christian life that includes St. Paul’s list (was it in Philippians?) of all the ways he nearly died doing the missionary work he did.
I’m not much of a song writer.
I have no idea if anyone would want to sing it.
I would aim to please the family. It’s not like the deceased cares any more.
See if you can crib a melody that’s in the public domain. Then you just have to write a poem.
Maybe our friend Bob could help with a rhyme.
