A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
It is different being in real life! Maybe in January, if we remember, we can start talking about a visit in the spring.
That would be fun, for sure!
I love getting away from my quiet, isolated world and seeing things that other folks take for granted. It helps me to focus outside myself so while I’m gone, my symptoms lessen.
Of course, I have to deal with that when I get back, but its most certainly worth it.
Back from church followed by Naptime With Jake. We were discussing going to the pool, but an email said it’s closed due to some construction tomorrow. Oh, well.
I don’t even know where the pool is in this town, though if I did, it probably wouldn’t matter.
Off to wash clothes.
Oooh, ooooh, ooooooh! Lego.com says my Hogwarts set has shipped! I may have it by my birthday after all!
ONZ, it’s like Christmas every day around here!
*HAPPY DANCE*
Hooray for our side!!! Hogwarts! Hogwarts! Rah-rah-rah!
Morning floof is stuck in the dirt!
Good morning.
The laundry is done. It was only when I took them out of the washer that I realized that I had left a tissue in one of the pockets of the jacket I took to Colorado. I paid $5 for that jacket on sale at Walmart and it was worth every cent of it on top of Pike’s Peak, where the temp with the windchill was around 22°.
So after I’ve shaken everything out before I hang it up, I’ll have to sweep the bathroom floor. *sigh* Must be Monday.
The tissues in the pocket thing happens around here all the time. Sigh.
Mine usually go into my backpack if I’m out and about, but when I travel, I don’t take a backpack. Just my flat travel purse because I can wear it around my neck. So used tissues go in my pocket so no one else has to touch them.
But my allergies don’t quit. And yet, I only took one small pack of tissues with me... What was I thinking??
Looks like a giant with dandruff brushed his hair in my bathroom.
After visiting my Real Brother, I was surprised to learn that he is no longer using a spendy stereo system for his vast music collection. He uses Alexa. I never gave much thought to the device, considering it to be more a question-and-answer thing than a useful device, and then I went to CO.
So. I’ve decided that I want to get one, and drop my TV service, since I seldom watch it, but keep it on for background noise, since the radio reception here is so bad. If I can listen to music all day, who knows what I can accomplish?
So I’ll start checking it out. When I get moved, I may not need it, but for now, the TV is a waste, since I can’t afford any of the programs that allow me to learn something. So I’ll probably get the Alexa, and will do away with the TV watching except for movies.
Good morning. If Monday tries to get me I’ll sic that very dangerous kitteh on it. Kitteh is very, very dangerous. Like a lion it is.
Just ask it.
When I was in grade school, we had to use liquid-ink cartridge pens. We also had to wear white button-front shirts.
Tissues in the laundry are no big deal, believe me.
We had actual fountain pens with bottles of ink for refills. Dresses have, by nature, more fabric to get in the way of spilling ink...
Yeh, it was kinda funny, actually. I haven’t done the tissue-in-the-pocket-in-the-wash thing for a lot of years.
But confined to a small space like my bathroom, which also has very dark floors, it looked like big fluffy flakes of snow. Then I decided to give it a twist and put a giant in there.
As my Favorite Son said on Saturday, “You really don’t get out much, do you, Ma?”
Howya, epople. It’s hot and humid here at Webelos Adventure Camp. I just sent James off on a quest for his lunch. We don’t have another session until 3:00.
I brought my nature drawing things, but nature isn’t doing anything.
Did Vlad get a pair of pants that fit him? I hope!
Hot and humid is coming here soon, since the monsoons are due to arrive any time soon. Unngh.
Hopefully, Nature will provide you with entertainment, soon. You could always draw tree bark...
Dismally Inept Lawn Service is here, and once again, I forgot they come on Mondays. So I had to scurry out and put the windshield cover on to keep the worst of the dust off, since they don’t bother to blow of the vehicles when they’re done cleaning the sidewalks.
I think Patrick’s old pants fit Vlad.
Thunderstorms are building; the wind has changed. A crow flew by, cawing, and a cardinal is chipping over at the tree line, but I’m too hot to move until I need to go to the bathroom, which is about 200 yards away at the administration building.
I also swept the picnic shelter. All the outdoor debris was annoying me.
Was that thunder, an airplane, or a truck. Doesn’t matter right now.
Here’s Vlad to be useful, but nothing to do once we fill the water jug at the standpipe.
It’s 102° and not quite 1300. Wish I could be out in it...
I know how you feel about the need to stay inert until the Call urges you to consider sprinting. Or not.
I know how annoying outdoor debris can be because I see a lot of that, here. One of the reasons why the lawn service is Dismally Inept.
