A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Christmas would be nice. We seem to be in Monsoon Season here, at least right now. Our puppy is learning about thunder storms.
The monsoons will be showing up soon, but not as severely here as in Hooterville.
Puppy needs a Thundershirt.

Good morning. I’m up (and dressed, and on my second cup of coffee). I’ll be back in a minute with a kitten.
That was worth the wait! (Of five minutes!)
Good morning.
I’ve had my shower, written a letter to Charlie, and misprinted a whole $Bazillion in postage because I wasn’t paying attention. Wandering Mind Syndrome.
Now I need to go make some tea.

The big news, I guess, is that as of yesterday afternoon, it’s official: When my name comes up, I’ll be moving to AR. My Favorite Son and his wife have decided that Cabot is where I need to be. Who knew? I figure once my application is submitted, there will be up to a two-year wait, so it will give me plenty of time to pack!
At least I won’t have to ride two hours in a shuttle to get to an airport I hate, even if the shuttle is a Mercedes!! :o])
Did a post card ever show up?
Yes, it did, and it was cute. Sorry I forgot to mention it. I love the way they’re all wearing hats.
I’m glad you’ve come to a decision about potential moving ideas. Maybe things will roll faster than expected!
I have to get the application, first. If it doesn’t show up in today’s mail, I’ll call them on Monday (or over the weekend!) and ask for one. I may even follow up with a letter. And if that fails, I’ll have my DiL stop by and pick one up!
So, with Walmart having good boxes at a cheap price, I can begin to pack books. Before I do, I’ll take photos of the books, section by section and let you browse.
Thank you, that will be very nice. If I find anything I want, I’ll pay to ship it!
It’s the least I can do, and with media mail, it’s fairly cheap, so unless I pack up a box at a time for you, I’ll spend the pennies!
:o])
James is doing a little extra-effort yard work so he can make money to hang around at Dunkin Donuts using the free wi-fi like Pat.
LOL!! Good for James! It must be nice to have a houseful of strapping young men to do all the yard work.
My Favorite Son was never without a yard to work on when he was 13 and above. I still admire his work ethic. From what I remember of my dad, my son is following in his footsteps. His son, as well, as he did yard work until he could get on with the fire extinguisher company.
Vlad did the lawn last weekend, and it was just okay. (Epic Fail Lawn Service: You get what you pay for.) I don’t mind paying more for the rest of it to be done, and then James will end up walking 6 miles!
Also, Lego.com says they’ll send my Hogwarts castle on July 23, which is after my birthday but before I die, at least based on previous results, i.e. not having died in the past.
Vlad must have been pre-occupied.
I’ll be glad to see you get the Hogwarts Castle!! What a deal! I was looking for a small backpack for my little purple laptop and saw a Hogwarts bag, but it was just a little more than I wanted to pay, even though it was “previously owned.” I really would have loved it, though!
Oh yes. Speaking of the Brits, a good British mystery is “The Bletchley Circle.”
We saw a couple of seasons of that when it was on Netflix.
Vlad and James decided to go to Walmart. I gave them some extra money and the mop head and told them to get me a replacement. The old one looked okay after we cleaned the garage, but it started falling apart immediately when I started cleaning today.
For my next thing, I need to go to the bank to make a deposit; we got a refund from the Cub Scouts for a trip to the aquarium that was cancelled due to Covid. Also, I need to get some Prosecco to drink with the Bacon Peach Cobbler that Tom and I will make tomorrow.
Proseco is so good!! I haven’t had peach cobbler since my mother made some when I was a relatively short person. She was SUCH a good cook!! Now, of course, I want some peach cobbler. Not sure about the bacon, though. I’d have to go to the store, and this is the day before the 4th. Ain’t happenin’!
The recipe looks delicious.
Crikey. Now I have to check and see if I have some peaches... I’ve never been much for strawberry shortcake, but peach cobbler will get me ever time!
Crikey. I slept in. *groan*
Good morning, and Happy Fourth Of July!
That floof looks like a Birman — like the Late, Great PV!
I’m guessing the relapse is official, since my sleep patterns are so whacked out.
Not to mention that my brain has gone walkabout.
