Good to know if we ever decide to replace the elm that was going to fall over!

"Sometimes circumstances work out unexpectedly well."

This is a situation known as "waiting for the other shoe to drop".

Murphy's Law has many corollaries, and an exceptional number of enforcement mechanisms.

I knew that, but you say it so much better than I ever could! Thanks!

Happy Mother’s Day to your wife!

Before the Big Bang, no one knew it was a bad idea to set a flask full of acid too close to the edge of the counter.

According to GSlob, the first Word SPOKEN was an epithet.

I sympathize with that view.

My theology is not very rigorous, but it is quite imaginative.

Actually, I could write a book about it, but like my other books, no one would ever buy it, or read it.

Other people write books about my theology. Saves me the effort!

The reason I took up writing is that no one else writes what I want written.

None of your theology, for instance, would talk about a shoe-box god.

That’s probably true, although some of those old guys in the late middle ages wandered far afield.

I did that too, when I was middle-aged.

I think I’ve been middle aged all my life. Maybe I’ll outgrow it someday.

I want the library to reopen!

It can be hard to tell. I knew a guy who was middle-aged at eleven.

Sadly, yes.

Johnny Carson once spoke of being middle-aged, and then paused to reflect “Wait-a-minute! I’m in my sixties— I’m not going to live to be double this age!” Prophetically correct.

The older you get, the farther from your middle age you get. But be aware, if you never die, you’ll never go to Heaven.

I miss half the fun.

But I had actual visitors twice yesterday, and that made for a pretty darn good Mother’s Day. A phone call from my son and photos of my daughter made the day complete. They went to “historic Ft Collins” and she had pics taken by the Poudre River. I miss that kind of country!

Anyway, it was a good Mother’s Day.

Now to sort the clothes and get on with my Monday.

That kitteh is keeping the printer warm!

Good morning.

I took a break because of my back, but now I need to go hang some clothes. After that, the day will be mine. I think.

It rained last night. Yesterday was gloomy off and on but by bedtime, it was puckering up to make a mess of things.

I need to go to the car wash. GAH! The truck is filthy!

Good morning. Happy Monday.

Fortunately, I don’t have anything that needs printing today.

Car washes are open here. I’ll take the van one of these days.

I finished the WSJ crossword in less than ten minutes, with interruptions. I feel so smart on Mondays! Brothers have been assigned math tasks. I think my next thing will be addressing some of the mess in the soon-to-be-formerly-the-girls’-room. It’s not going to clean itself!
