A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Cat-sitting takes on a whole different tenor when you have to call in the Brute Squad to get it done.
The Brute Squad appeared, assisted with the pet care, and ate some Chinese food leftovers. He’s not working today; traded a Sunday shift with someone.
The trouble with eating Chinese food is that fifteen minutes later you have to wash your hands again.
The good news is that Frontier has graciously changed my reservation to a late morning flight, getting to Denver in the early afternoon, which isn’t too bad, but I’m glad I have the rest of the day to recuperate!
Now, all I have to do is call the shuttle service and have them change my hours accordingly. But not today. It’s enough to know that at least something will be going right!
... for now.
I was in the ROTC way back when, which meant Summer Camp. I still remember our Commandant of Cadets welcoming us when we arrived and telling us how much he hoped we would enjoy the camp ...
... TODAY.
He used chopsticks.
It’s still cloudy and windy and not very warm. I’m thinking of watching more history lectures. It’s sunny in Pompeii, at least in the photgraphs.
Please, don’t put a hex on this! LOL! They changed it from an 0600 flight to one at 2100 and there is no way I could take that. So I emailed and used the “A and D” cards, and this 1100 flight is what they came up with. I won’t complain! It’s not great, but as long as they don’t mess with my return flight, I’ll be happy. :o])
I had to go outside twice to get warm. I try to cool the place off in the early mornings so the A/C doesn’t have to work hard in the afternoon, but in the process, I get very, very cold!
Two cards from NC today, one with a note on the envelope. I wish all senders were that considerate in May. I have to open all the cards to see which day they’re for!
Now, I’m going to head down the hallway to crawl in between some warm sheets. I was outside, and Harley was out, so I went over to pet him. He wasn’t sure about that. I waited for Rocky to come out and when she finally did, she was without her wig or teeth. If I hadn’t seen her come out, I’m sure I wouldn’t have known who she was. Anyway, I told her I was going over to get the mail and asked if she wanted me to get hers. She said no, but asked if I would give her rent check to Chuck.
There’s my excitement for the day!
DP keeps going on exercise excursions. I’m feeling worn out today, even after my nap. I hope you have a good night. I got the letter today: glad to know I didn’t lose it yesterday!
I almost lost it yesterday; but then I figured, "Meh".
LOL!
I seem to have a lot of "Meh" days, but I prefer them to the alternative. ;o]
I’m glad the letter came. I worry when I send letters to the Wilds of NC and the ends of Nowhere in AR. It takes forever for things to get to those places.
Frontier confirmed my flights and wished me happy voyage, so I’m VERY glad I didn’t change my shuttle reservation. I would have had to change it again, and this thing has been stressful enough for me.
So the end of the month, providing I finally get my winter clothes swapped out for summer ones, I’ll see about the things I want to take with me. I have a list that I use for trips so I don’t get to my destination and have to buy a bazillion things. A tip I think I got from a Favorite Sister.
Good morning. We have a list of things for camping, but we always manage to get there without some stuff. For the most recent trip I’m glad I remembered the screen tent rather than the broom, if I could have only one.
My mom said she got her birthday card yesterday, May 8. I mailed it April 30.
Look! A little floofy squee!
Good morning.
I hate when I sleep solid for any more than three hours because I wake up stiff and in pain. (And every time I write about that, a little old lady from Del Rio pops into my head and says, “Don’t get old, Mija!”)
Nothing much for today. I was going to stay in but my email this morning tells me “Death in Paradise, season 6” is in, and since Ive watched whatever else I have, I’ll take them back and get that one and fax my application to the energy assistance office in St George.
I think we watched Season 6 recently, after DP subscribed to “BritBox.”
I need another cup of coffee and a lens wipe. Also a pass through the sunroom to check the catfood situation.
Asuncion and Rafaela will be over this morning to practice for Mass tomorrow.
Wow. Well it probably had to go on the “Milk Run” once it left the post orifice in whatever city. Did it miss her birthday?
I’m afraid my Favorite Daughter’s birthday card will be late because I only mailed it yesterday. She’s going to color my hair when I visit. Some shampoo-in stuff that I would love to be able to afford.
So. Now I need to write to my Favorite Son.
