A kid who licked toilets as part of the #CoronaVirusChallenge says he's now in the hospital with coronavirus. @gayshawnmendes was also just suspended from twitter
Our Scouts did a really bad job with breaking camp. Each one had his own small tent, small tarp, and personal items. It took an extraordinary length of time and a great deal of yelling for them to get those items packed up.
We’re home. Things are being squared away.
Do your scouts now have to erect said small tents and get the dirt out of them so they don’t have to pack them to the next site?
Yes, they do. That’s what they’ve been doing since they got home. They also got to clean the large tent DP and I used with Kathleen.
W00t!
They “did” it, but it still looks terrible. I’m so frustrated with the way this place looks that I almost can’t wait to move to St. George, just to get away from it.
What wonderfully sweet Morning Floofs! ArGee has done an admirable job in your stead, so thanks to both of you for the Morning Daily Bright Spot!
I would have been here almost an hour ago, but I had to get my documents together to fax to the St George office that handles Energy Assistance programs. I will NOT go through another year like I did last year.
Anyway, that’s done, the shower has been had and I’m almost ready to write to to Charlie. The binding machine came yesterday, and I’ve been doing lots of happy dances in my head ever since. NOW I can get busy finishing up the documents that are awaiting in various stages to be finished and get them bound.
I think the expense of having them done commercially was more daunting that the project itself, so now that I know I can do it myself, I’m good to go!
Thanks to ArGee for helping to fill the void of kittehs. Happy Friday, everyone!
Nobody is up here except Shannon and me. Jake was around earlier - and full of demands - but I think he has gone back to bed. I’m looking forward to resuming the laundry, if only the others would get up.
The birds are up but they’re quiet. Unlike Gonzo, Camilla is singing right through her molt, but since this is her first, she will probably be less active during the next ones.
So now, after checking all the sites that need checking first thing in the morning, I’m going to write to Charlie.
Good morning. Happy Friday.
HOLD ON, KITTEH! Friday’s here.
That cat must be declawed! Mine would joyfully shred that very cute item.
Speaking of claws, I need to see if Tom the Son can come over today to help cut Jake’s claws and give both cats their flea drops.
Good morning! Do you anticipate a pleasant Friday?
It’s chilly here, but the sun is coming up, and it will soon be warmer. I put up the blind for Jake in his bed.
If I had a cat, I would probably make one of those. Some are pretty clever. ;o]
They really are. And the cats look so happy!
My guy has scimitar twaws that make a velociraptor’s look dinky. Oddly enough he only shreds his cardboard scatcher. His late bro used to like to carve the furniture. We were able to protect the upholstery, and he begrudgingly used the scratcher, but I frequently caught him staring longingly at the couch and wingchairs.
Friday will be OK. We completed a major milestone yesterday. That’s 2 in 2 weeks.
My in-laws are starting to really resent the “PAUSE”. We’ll see if they can hold out until the 15th, and what kind of loosening the Fuhr - er - Governer can tolerate. He expressed surprise yesterday that 66% of the people with new COVID-19 infections claimed to have stayed at home. But he didn’t say that maybe staying at home was no longer helping.
Go, science!
It’s nice when cats tear up only what they’re supposed to tear up. We used to have a cardboard scratcher, but it was an occasion of conflict, because I wanted it to be in the sunroom, while DP wanted it to be in the living room, where the children played with it.
Shannon isn’t much for furniture-scratching, but Jake gets into it on occasion.
Congratulations on the Major Milestone. I hope he’s worth his rank.
I suspect, if I hadn’t already spent 25 years in illness-imposed quarantine, I, too, would resent the dickens out of this “pause.”
I’m just glad it was the “governors” and not the POTUS who imposed it. We now know which ones are power hungry and in most cases, to what extent.
I’ve never had much trouble with cats tearing up things. Tokyo Rose was blind and was happy to use the scratching post, which I kept close to the litter box. PV, of course, was de-clawed, a thing which can land one in jail in Germany, as its considered abuse.
But I’d love to have a cat I could make a couch for!
We all went on the same campout, but some of our family members are more functional than others today. It’s annoying that they keep falling over.
