The laundry is done and what a laundry it was. Four loads, twice the normal amount, just because one washer and one dryer were out of order for two weeks. Of course, I still have to make the bed and hang the sleep shirts, but I’ll get to it.
I also have to put away the winter clothes in the next day or two. I always keep at least one pair of long pants and one long-sleeved shirt out, just in case. The summer is too short here!
I just made it back to the apartment when the wind kicked up and it’s at such an angle that it sounds like someone is trying to open the screen door!

I think we’re supposed to say something like “May the 4th be with you” but I think this is the first time since 1977 I’ve actually thought of that on May the 4th.
Ah, well. Back to it. Our breeder texted us over the weekend to ask us if we would want to swap a white puppy for our cafe au lait one due to some snafu around the stud owner request. We decided we would do that rather than wait until the fall. So now we will get our puppy a week earlier than originally planned and it will be a different color. I can’t imagine it will matter much.
Any morning with a kitteh is a good morning, and if that kitteh is a marmalade, so much the better!!

The Epic Disastrously Inept Lawn Service is here today, and I had written a note to Chuck this morning about my parking area. the lawn service got here about five minutes before he did, but I was out getting ready to cover the windshield when I saw him and flagged him down.
In the note, I told him that the driveways and rock borders made the the place look like people were dying here rather than living here. I don’t know what the end result will be, but I’m not physically up to shoveling out the parking spaces for this building. When the mulberry begins to drop the pollen “worms” they just stack up in the parking area because of the curb. So ARGH!!

The Horrible Lawn Service “cleaned” out the parking spots, but they did a very bad job of it. So I will go out with my broom this morning and finish their job. ARGH!!!
I had a case of food poisoning, yesterday, and it was probably the worst I’ve had in years. I will NOT buy anything from Lin’s deli counter until heck freezes over.
Anyway, I feel much better this morning (I slept 12 hours) and will go to Walmart in a bit.
I was going to zest and juice the lemons, but my lemon juicer has escaped. I have no idea where it is, and that’s surprising because it’s cobalt and matches the toothpick holder and both of them have always been in my dish cupboard. I priced a replacement on eBay, but they want $30+ for it. If the thrift stores were open, I might be able to find one, but now, I’ll have to check Walmart.

I haven’t been to the laundromats here. There are two, but when I asked Sharon which one she went to, she waved in the general direction of both of them and said, “That one, over there.”
Most things can be watched with the sound off and they still make sense.
So how are they enjoying their vacation?

Laundry still going. Kathleen is whiny. I see blue sky to the south, so we should be able to do outdoor things later.
Outdoor things are good! In fact, I’ll go out in a bit and do an outdoor thing to my parking area to finish the job the Depressingly Inept Lawn Service didn’t do. The space should still be in the shade, so it won’t be too bad.
