The thing about Dollar Tree is the prices are predictable.

How’s Bill doing? And Tom? I know Anoreth is OK, because she’s a chip off the ol’ blockess. ;o]

Bill is supposed to come on the campout, since he’s out of work. Tom is doing great. I paid him in advance for pet care, so he could buy groceries. Anoreth sent me a snap yesterday of a tree that fell on the house across the street from hers!

The good thing is that is didn’t fall on HER house!! Wow.

A vacation might do Bill some good, too.

I found a recipe for lemon bars that I’m anxious to try. I hope I can find good lemons!

If Lin’s doesn’t have lemons, maybe it has lemon zest. I have lemon juice, so... Anyway, I’ll find out, around 0900.

I took some canned goods for the food bank up to Mint Hill, to my friends where I stay in their house when I go on my private vacation. She’s contacting “Loaves & Fishes” every week to find out what they need, notifying parishioners, collecting the items, and hauling them to the distribution center. We talked for a few minutes, from a safe distance. They’re ready for normal life again, too.

Then I went to Publix to get Sicilian lemon juice, which was always taken by that other resident who doesn’t live here any more. I like it on my steamed vegetables. I also got fried chicken, enough for the five regular family members, and there was enough, because another party who hadn’t been seen all day didn’t emerge when takeout food was sensed. (Jake showed up, but not fast enough.)

I’ve got stuff I should do, but I’m thinking I’d rather go hide under a blanket with Jake.

A nap under a blanket with a cat is probably an excellent idea! I hope you did it!

After the errands this morning, the day went downhill and I’m still a little on the scattered side. Lin’s didn’t have lemon zest (which I prefer, because it keeps) but they had some very nice lemons. I don’t even know where to look for something like Sicilian lemon juice, though I think I’ll check Walmart next time I go. Probably after you get back.

I like lemon juice on some vegetables, but these days, without family to cook for, my taste buds have gone on perma-hold.

Maybe, if I feel up to it, I’ll make the lemon bars tomorrow. Probably not early enough for you to take some with you for the trip, but... If they turn out well, I’ll give you the recipe.

Our family members are fond of lemon bars, but they’ll do okay without them. You find the Sicilian lemon juice at Publix or Harris Teeter, but not at Walmart. It comes in a lemon-shaped container like ReaLemon used to. (Maybe still does.)

Nap was okay. Tom came by and got a house key. He may return for a free dinner if he doesn’t get distracted.

Good news! Amazon has Sicilia Lemon Juice for $8.95 a bottle, plus S&H!

I’ll go take a shower and think about that. :o]

Good morning oh keeper of kittens.
Have been out in my plague mask, as one does.... :D
The sky is overcast today ,looks like solar industrial action is taking place.

If Lin’s has it, it’s going to be in the $5 range. I’ll check next time I go. *sheesh* I’d be better off squeezing my own lemons if Amazon is my only choice.

I’m doing fine this fine morning. Birds are singing, and it looks like it will be a clear day.

We have a lot to do before leaving on our camping trip, but getting under weigh by lunchtime is a reasonable possibility.

I need to go to Walmart when it opens. There’s always one or two (or six) last things.

Good morning, Moosie. I’ve given up on the plague masks and think I only wore one twice. Nitrile gloves, however... I’ve been known to wear them at Wally’s but chuck them immediately as I head out the door.

What a oddly marked floof! I want it!

Good morning.

Are you all packed and ready to go?

It would be great to go camping! I don’t think the campgrounds at elevations are open yet, and part of that is because the winter and spring have been so wet that roads have collapsed. Not surprising, in this state.

I’m tired this morning, so I suspect there won’t be much on my agenda for the day.

A fair amount of organization has been done, but nothing is loaded. We need to put the heavy stuff in first!

DP asked yesterday, “Who’s riding in the truck?” and all five kids said, “Me!” “Excellent!” I said. “Go for it!” Unfortunately, the truck seats only five including the driver.

I’m sure something will be sorted out. That reminds me, I need to buy some super cheap gas this morning, too. Maybe three gallons!

Morning ‘Face.

The gloves have been found to be spreading the problem if the user leaves them on when they head back to the car. Haven’t bothered myself, just use windscreen washer fluid to wash hands after shopping.,it removes the Hand sanitizer that every shop insists you use before you go through the door.
I use the mask if there are OAPs or kids around. One is vulnerable the other is a vector....

Doesn’t the truck back seat have a centre belt, or is that verboten?
There is always the roof rack.......
